It's not like Saudi Arabia. You can wear whatever you where in Europe or North America, you can drive, and you can go to restaurants with just another man, for example. But it's very hot, very air conditioned and life centers around hanging out in the mall. Kind of like living in Florida, actually.:lol

I was deployed there for 4 months a couple of years ago. Definitely read up on their customs before you go! I was in Doha, it is a pretty big city and was absolutely beautiful. Right on the Persian Gulf with palaces and great shopping. The driving is really crazy, but ok once you get used to it... The way they view women is a little skewed, but it is just their culture...
