domestic abuse in Korean culture

I just had a Korean neighbor come over to my house and show me what her husband did to her the day before. :gloomy: There are no resources here for domestic abuse. It happens all the time in the country where I live and husbands beating their wives is seen as what husbands are allowed do to (not by a majority but if it happens oh well). But I'm not familiar with the Korean culture. I asked if she could do counseling and she said that they are always told that marriage problems should be solved at home. All of this is made more difficult by the fact that she speaks little English and I speak no Korean so we end up speaking in a 3rd language that both of us speak at 6th grade level :dizzy:

Anyone know about this? What can I do other than listen and document for her?
