Joining you! 9 DPO

Hey girls! I just got my BFP an hour ago! I am very excited. This is my second. My DD is 15 months (They will be almost exactly 2 years apart, as her bday is July 19, and my due date is July 10)

I am a nursing momma and I think this was my first pp egg. So excited! Hoping things stick!

Congrats catching that first egg! That had been my plan too, but I've had terribly short LP's until this cycle. But it finally worked!

You are both very courageous to have your children so close in age. Mine will be just about three years apart, and I am hoping that my son will have developed more patience by then. Less than 3 years apart would terrify me, after seeing what one of my cousins is going through right now - she has two sons 27 months apart. The early months were so tough, because the oldest was still so needy. In fact, he still is, so her younger son is frequently short-changed.

Amila, amazing that you got pregnant with your first post-partum egg. My luteal phase was so short the first few months; only 3-5 days. It is still very short now (averaging 10 days) so I am actually surprised I managed to get pregnant.

I think it really depends on the kids' personalities how well they work. My 2 are 20 months apart. Yeah, the early days were hectic, but they are so close, they love each other, play well together, and DS really doesn't remember being an only child. But he is a pretty laid back personality who loves having a constant playmate. If he were more clingy to me, and wanted my undivided attention, I might have waited longer. But as it was, I knew that was the right spacing for us. I don't think I would do it again though, because BF is a pretty effective form of BC for me. The only reason my kids are close is because I weaned DS at 6 months :( Pre-MDC days. I expect 2.5 -3 year gaps from now on.

My 2 are exactly 24 mos. apart...and my last and this one will be about 23-24 mos. apart just depending on when he/she decides to make an apperance.

I actually like it this way eventhough it is SUPER hectic in the beginning, it is SOOO worth it once they get a little older. :)
