Howard county - searching for workout buddy!

Hiya! I recently joined the Columbia Association gyms so that I can whip my sorry self into shape, and I think that it would be much more fun with a workout buddy - anybody here belong to the CA gyms or thinking of joining?

we are actually thinking seriously about moving over to columbia. if we do, I would love to join the association and work out with you! I have given myself to my son's 1st birthday to get rid of my pregnancy weight. and that is coming soon!!

what neighborhood do you live in? my in-laws are in Longfellow. We are looking to move to an "original" village with a pool.

Hi, Jenny! We live in Long Reach village, in the Jeffers Glen neighborhood. We have a pool, but it closes on August 10th. I guess ours is one of the less popular pools and they close it when they start to lose the college kids who are lifeguards.

Let me know when you move - it looks like Julian and Griff are nearly the same age!

hey, jess! i'm not too far from you! i'm on the owen brown side of jeffer's hill area. i don't belong to ca though :( even though they get my lien money every year grrr! i go running sometimes around lake elkhorn on sat. am's but really need to get in gear. i'll have to look at joining ca so i have somewhere to run in the winter.

We finally made it over here. We sold our house, but haven't found a townhome yet. We are renting an apartment in Clary's Forest. Anyway... I am going down to join CA this week. Where do you go to join?? Have you been working out? If so, how is the childcare? I am excited about the indoor pools!! I have also been eating lunch from David's a lot. It is hard to prepare food while living out of boxes! That is my excuse anyway.
