Hey all!
I am pregnant with my first child - due date is July 3rd 2008!! I'm hoping for July 4th so we can have fireworks for a birthday party each year! Lol.
Anyway, we ended up getting pregnant on our wedding night (October 6th) or during our honeymoon in the Florida Keys. It wasn't planned, we wanted to wait 2 years to start having kids, but now that we are pregnant we are very excited! I'm 25 and my husband is 28, we run an organic, grass-fed sheep farm in Vermont and are very into nutirtion, healthy living, natural everything! We have 3 appointments with different midwives and plan to birth at a birthing center about a half hour from the farm.
Well. . that's all for now, just wanted to introduce myself and say hello! I'm excited to get to know you other July 08 mommies!

Nice to meet you! I'm not too far away, in the Capital District of NY.
What breed(s) of sheep do you have? I did my master's thesis in genetics with a flock of Polypay and Suffolk. I like sheep :)

Wow! That's awesome! We actually raise polypay's from Dwight Tinsdale's Millenium Project in I think. . .Wyoming or Colorado? They came from somewhere out there. We also have Horned Dorset and Isle d' France sheep - all breeds that were bred to grow on grass only, no grain. Have you read the Omnivore's dilemma? We highly recommend it!
