U/S Today

So...I had an u/s today...I am 4 weeks and 5 days I think...there was really nothing to see, but there were 2 small "spots". My HCG has gone from 20 last Tuesday, to 100 last Friday, to 986 today....so if you calculate the numbers based upon the theory that your levels should double every 48 hours...the two "spots" just might be 2 babies!!! We go back again next Friday to take another peek. It is SO hard because I am really against ultrasounds, but since I am diabetic we have to know what we are carrying because it has a chance of altering the whole course of my pregnancy.

While I would NEVER be disappointed by having twins...it would kill my VBAC chances. So...alas we sit and wait. I am just still so happy that my hcg levels are increasing and that hopefully this baby will stick.

Mama, that is so exciting! I hope you get what you wish for. I can understand the hope for a VBAC. Out of curiosity, why did you have an u/s so early?

I had infertility treatments so it is "protocol"...funny thing is I HATE u/s. After next Friday if this is a singleton baby I plan to only have one more at 20 weeks to check the heart because of increased risks of heart defects with my having diabetes.

You could have your twin VBAC at home!
Wow...I would love to, but I can't find a midwife who will help me deliver one at home....let alone two:(
