I saw an old Leno ep last night featuring Dustin Hoffman. He was telling Leno that his 3 y/o grandson Gus wasn't Circ'ed. He said that he asked his daughter about it and she told him about the desensitization of the glans and the protective value foreskin. She also said something about better orgasms to which Hoffman said that if his were any better he would have a heart attack. It wasn't as anti-circ as I would have liked but yay for him for bringing it up and getting an anti-circ opinion out there!

I'm not sure what religion Hoffman is. He did mention that his grandson being intact had nothing to do with religion though.

Leno was so neutral he could have been waving the Switzerland flag :)
They both laughed over the appropriateness of saying foreskin on TV and Leno said something about that being an interesting conversation to have over lunch and that was pretty much it. It was nice to see anything pro-intactness on TV even if it wasn't as strong as I would have liked!

I was chatting online with DH (who is out of state) about california's circ rates when it came on, lol. My head snapped over to the TV and I thought "Uh oh." but it was much better than I was expecting. It could have been much much worse. I don't know how someone pro circ, or neutral, would take it... I was happy to hear about how informed his daughter seemed to be but the intactivist in me didn't like how it ended- as a joke.

Aww...I had the TV on that channel but I was running around doing stuff so I missed it! Maybe my on-the-fence mom was watching though. :wink
