Okay, I can't be the only one out there... :D

I am currently nursing my almost 11mo dd and sometimes my 4yo dd also. I nursed her through #2's pregnancy and it was very painful the whole time. I'm really hoping that this isn't the case this time if for no other reason than I could tell an almost 3yo "no" a little easier than a 1yo who still nurses for most of her food. I wouldn't be surprised if dd2 weaned during the pregnancy or at least cut back a lot but I hope she starts to eat more solids to compensate. I'm a little worried about that.

Nope, not alone. I am nursing my 2 year old DD and she shows no signs of stopping! Last night though, my nipples REALLY hurt when she was nursing...I'm hoping it is yeast or something else treatable because I don't want that to go on for 9 months :(

My 5 year old *just* weaned on her own about 2 weeks ago, but I wish you guys luck! Hope your nipples hang in there! :)

I'm nursing my nearly 2.5 yo still too. No pain yet, but I have decided to wean if it gets too painful. Taking it one day at a time for now...

I am a nursing mama too. I mostly post on the Aug DDC but I may be an early Sept gal. Anyway, I am nursing my 21 month old ds. We night weaned about a month ago but he is still a boobie addict. I have NEVER had nipple pain until now. They are sensitive but not unbearable. I am hoping to nurse through the pregnancy but if I can't I hope to at least be able to nurse until ds hits 2yo. If we can continue past that with no trouble I will consider tandeming but it all depends.

I am still nursing my 4 yo and my 21 month old. The 4 year old is limited to morning and night nursings only. My 21-month old is still on demand. I was one of the lucky ones and nursing through my first pg was really easy. I retained some milk supply and didn't have any nipple pain. I took it week-by-week and it always seemed like more effort to try to change things (like nightwean), than it would to just leave it be. Ds1 was mostly sleeping through the night, though, whereas ds2 (despite being 2 months older at time of conception) is nowhere near it.

So, at some point we will probably make some changes. Ds1 will have to give up at least the morning nursing at some point before the baby comes. I'm hoping he will choose to wean with a little encouragement. He will be 5 next Nov, so if he is still nursing when baby comes, I believe his bday will be the cutoff. And, I really think I will try to transition ds2 to another bed (maybe with his brother, maybe on the twin next to our bed) and probably nightwean.

But, I won't start any of that for awhile yet. I want ds2 to at least make it to age 2 before I start limiting nursing sessions (assuming nursing is comfortable like it was last time).

still nursing my almost 2.5 yo. i just asked her if she wanted to stop having "mama milk" and she looked at me in shock and said "mama no." so we're just going to take it one day at a time.

Another nursing momma here. DD is a little over 4 years and no soreness here, she is still bf 1-3 times a day. I nursed ds through a pg and continued for another 2 years until he self weaned right before his 5th birthday. I imagine his sister will do the same, I am taking it a day at a time. I am hoping dd will continue through the winter and would love to have a few months break before this little one comes. I have been pg and or nursing for 8 years as of today!!!!! We conceived ds New Years Day in 2000.....you remember that whole 2000 scare we had. LOL!

Still nursing 12 mo old ds full time. I'm contemplating night weaning him a month or two before the next little one arrives. Anyone have experience here? Anyone nurse full time through a subsequent birth (without night weaning)? Tips? Tricks?

I did not nightwean my first, BUT most of the time he was sleeping through on his own, and he voluntarily moved to his own bed just before the baby was born. Before that, he was sleeping on a mattress in our room. But I would still nurse him to sleep and nurse him if he woke up at night. He went through phases of sleeping and not sleeping. Some nights after ds2 were born were really rough. Ds1 would have to wait for ds2 to be done before he could nurse, and he did not wait patiently. Dh ended up having to take him back to his room and lay down with him while he screamed for mommy. Eventually, ds1 learned to crawl in bed with us and wait more or less quietly... and then he would fall asleep before it got to his turn.

I think this time around we will nightwean before baby. Ds2 is a daddy's boy and I think will be more willing to accept comfort from dh at night (he will even fall asleep for dad... although doesn't stay asleep once put down, until he nurses).

I'm nursing my 22mo dd. I have some nipple soreness, but it's mostly during the morning nursing marathon. We're also taking it one day at time.

Nursing almost 15 month old dd. She still nurses every 2 hours or so. I haven't noticed any soreness except when she latches. Although I can't tell if it's soreness or if I'm getting bitten by my little teether.

I'm nursing my almost 17 month old. I nursed my first DS a little while when pregnant with DS2. Only about a month he self-weaned.
GwendalynsMommy I know exactly what you mean about not knowing if the soreness might be from pg or teething. DS's been teething for the past month or so it seems and I've been slightly sore from that anyway.

I'm nursing my 20 month old :love My nipples feel like they did the first two weeks of nursing - that intense gaaaaaah burning pain during the first three or four seconds of the latch, and then it's fine and doesn't bother me in the slightest. Hopefully it stays this way :)

I'm still nursing my 2.5 year old ds as well. No nipple pain but I never get any of that or even breast tenderness with any pregnancy I've had. My supply has already dropped though. This happened last time around and it caused my ds#1 to wean less than half way through my pregnancy when I completely dried up. So we'll see what happens this time around. Ds#2 is still nursing several times a day and night.
