I'm about 6 weeks along and I've been running a fever for a few days. I have an ear thermometer, and sometimes I get different readings depending on which ear I use. I've had readings of 100.5 to 102.4. I have a call into my midwife and I'm waiting for her to call back. I've been taking Tylenol every 4-6 hours. Is there anything else I can do?

You can take lukewarm baths to bring it down and also make sure you don't have too much clothing on. You don't want to shiver (will make it worse) but you also don't want to be too warm due to clothing. Drink drink drink as that will help also bring the temp. down. Keep taking tylenol to keep it down.
They are concerned about fevers of 102 but I think you are doing a good thing keeping yours down so they dont reach that point. Hugs mama and I hope you feel better soon. I am sure your midwife will be calling you soon. If not keep calling her.

I had a high fever with my 3rd early in the pregnancy. My midwife advised me to use tylenol to bring it down immediatly. Only time she's had me use conventional meds. I felt better after a few days and my little fellow was born healthy and happy.
