New and due in Sept!!!

Hey all! I have been a member for while and lurk a lot, mostly because I am absorbing lots of info and because DD doesn't let me type much! Now that I am expecting again I really want to be involved in a community of natural minded mamas. My last birth was an unmedicated hospital birth. This time I am looking into free standing birth centers and home births. There is still the possibility we will stick with the hospital birth though since our insurance covers %100 of it and 0% of anything else, and in that case I will need support even more from other mamas who understand my views on PG and birth!

I have one DD (:fambed21:2bfbabe::cd:) who is 16.5 months and a loving DH!

I'd look into that insurance thing - When I called my insurance about our last birth (homebirth) they said they wouldn't pay. My M/W just billed them and got 100% payment, she says this happens all the time. It might be worth asking some of the birthcenters or M/W directly and see what they say about your insurance.

Then again, it might totally be the case :nod

I will look into it, but our HMO is really, ummm.... a PITA!!! They do have nurse-midwives available, so I will be going that direction for sure. With my last birth our insurance was a PPO plan (Dh had a different job). Had i been more educated then I would have taken advantage of it!
