Yep me again, sorry :o

I still am feeling weird pains and cramps :( My levels are all OK, no spotting.

I could go for an even earlier scan on Friday i'd be 5 weeks exact and my HCG should be over the 2,000 they wanted, do you think this is best?

Any advice ladies?

Not much advice from me. I'm sorry your having a hard time. :hug
I know this is a long shot, but there isn't anyway you have a UTI is there? I know when I've had one I had crampy stabby pains... just a thought.
Glad your levels are looking good and no spotting is great! :)

I am still having cramps as well but unfortunately I don't have any insight... I thought it was normal. I guess not? ugh... I am 17dpo. I haven't had my levels checked out yet.

I haven't had spotting either and I think that's good.

Anyway, nothing particular to say, just wanted to say "me too!" :o

nope no UTI, they checked

I'm glad I'm not alone although I'm sorry your going through this too.

Any thoughts on a 5 week scan? maybe that will tell us if it's ectopic?

So I am just lurking, but I hope to be joining you ladies...

But I had cramping with both my pregnancies. For me the cramping was at its worst between 6-8 weeks.

I had cramping on and off the entire 36 weeks that I knew I was pregnant, everything is stretching and changing, even if you can't see the changes yet.

Congrats Mamas!

I actually had a lot of cramping and pulling with my first up until about 8 weeks. They just kept telling me it was everything starting to get stretched. With this pregnancy I have absolutely 0 cramping which actually makes me nervous. I don't know if I'd do a 5 week scan. 5 weeks it is so iffy to see a hb but I know if I had one done and they didn't see a hb that I would probably flip out and be nervous. Even though rationally i'd know it was still ok.

I understand they may not see a HB, but if they see the sac in the in womb vs a tube i'd feel 100% better right now, I'll just back for the HB KWIM?

I know some didn't get any scans but to me they are very very reassuring, which is worth a lot to me right know, I hope that doesn't make me a bad mother:o

Getting an U/S does not make you bad mother. :hug I know how hard pregnancy can be on our emotions.

I'm 4 weeks 5 days. 18 days past ovulation.
I'm still having cramps and such. I'm not spotting, I feel good over all, and my temperatures are still nice and high.
This is exactly why I opted to wait until after 8 weeks to see the doctor. Since this is my first, I don't know what to expect so I'm not worrying. I figure everything is ok until it definitely isn't.

My personal guess (and I have no experience) is that if you were eptopic, wouldn't you be having pain around your ovaries? At least that's what I tell myself.

I have had two friends who've had ectopic pregnancies and from both of them, they both say it was extremely painful, not a "maybe, maybe not" type pain.

I read that was only when it gets advanced or ruptures

just wanted to say, I'm with ya' on the cramping and mild discomfort.

With dd1 I was cramping up until week 8-10... kind of late. I remember asking my mw about it and she said it was all normal.

It's hard not to worry, though. The early pregnancy worries have finally struck me. :( I was doing so well for the past two weeks. Funny cramping, occasionally stretching pain/discomfort, not enough nausea... oy... my brain is sure good at inventing all kinds of things to worry about.

Here's one for you: last week I had really sore calf muscles from a workout, so I used my arnica lotion, which always helps my sore muscles. Well, sure enough, I read on another thread here how arnica is a major abortive herb. :guilty :gloomy: Now I'm paranoid at every little twinge that I've done something really really wrong...

Sorry--not trying to hijack this thread... I'm just with ya' on the worrying and needing reassurance...

Yeah it's awful isn't. I'm afraid to walk too much, have sex or anything, like my whole pelvic area is sore

.

For what I understand it is a major abortive when used as an herb. I think that the tiny amounts used in homeopathic creams etc (for muscle aches) are not any where near as dangerous. Just thought it might help set your mind at ease.

I am also really crampy by the way. I am 5 weeks today. I had cramps with both my boys pregnancies. One interesting note is I don't remember having them when I was pregnant last time and I had a mc at 8 weeks. the baby stopped developing at 5 weeks and I think I had no cramps because it wasn't growing. Anyway at this point I am completely loving every symptom. It is very amusing to be happy you are puking! :love

My first symptom was cramps so hard I almost went to the ER. Now after going through birth and all, I think they were just as bad as many of my contractions. I had then from 3 weeks (before I knew I was pregnant) till almost 10 weeks. I also ended up with an "irritable uterus" meaning I started contracting at 25 weeks 3-8+ times an hour. She was born perfectly healthy at 39w, 5d though, so not a whole lot to worry about.....

Congrats to all!! :love

Thanks, Alyssa, for this. I hope you are right. My m/w has been out of town for the last couple weeks, but she is returning today (yeah! :)) so I'm hoping to move forward on a visit and check on the wee one asap.

I'm 18 days out from ovulation (18 days of high temps, yeah!) and had some cramping/fullness in my pelvis too. Sometimes I wonder if my fullness is like other women feeling they have to pee all the time.

Arnica is much more dangerous when ingested vs topically :thumb

I had a scan today I have a cyst on my left ovary, they said this could be causing some of the pain

No baby to see yet, just the sac

I was having cramps too the night I got my BFP. I thought I was going to get my AF because of them but it never came. I don't have them much anymore but do get them on occasion. I read up on it and it seems to be normal as long as it is not excessive or there is bleeding to accompany it. I don't remember having cramps with any of my other pregnancies though. From what I read, it has to do with your uterus and other body parts in those regions being stretched to make room for the growing baby. I'm not worrying about it since I've read it's normal, and I know worrying about it could make it worse, kwim? I haven't been to any appointment yet either. I'm 4 weeks, and am probably going to start going soon. Just wanted to let you know that I'm there with you. *hugs*
