I'm soon to have a BUMP!!! :belly By my estimations, that puts me due on September 16 (one day after DH's 42nd birthday).

This morning I took another dollar store HPT. It was negative.

But since I still haven't started and have all those other signs, I decided to get out the EPT's this afternoon.

Voila! It's POSITIVE!! :+

I haven't told anyone yet, except for my holistic doc (he called minutes after I did the test and I blurted it out) and I called a midwife to set up a consultation so I can explain things to DH about doing a home birth. DH will be in shock. :jaw I think my girls and extended family will be, too.

Nope, this would be my first (and only). :) I've had several friends do it (some of them several times!) and being that its likely my last baby (this one is actually a bit of a surprise), I want to have a totally different experience than my three hospital births. Not that I had bad experiences in the hospital....but....there is just something very appealing to me about the whole home birth thing.

You have definitely come to the right place for support. Both of my boys were born at home, and with my youngest I had a waterbirth. Absolutely amazing experiences. Is your husband on board for a HB?

A waterbirth sounds really appealing to me. And yes, I think my DH is on board for doing it at home. He questions me "can you really do it without the drugs?" (I had epi's in the hospital all three times)....but I told him at home it will be much different and I will be able to relax more, which will reduce pain, and I don't plan on having any of our extended family present like we did with the first three so I can grunt and scream all I want.... ;)
