Can anyone tell me about PEVA fabric? I know that it is plastic coated on one side of the fabric, and it is food safe, which is why I want it, but I don't know how to find it when I hit the fabric store. The staff there is not very helpful, so I want to know what I am looking for before I drag 2 squirmy kids in there. Thanks!

PEVA is vinyl. Commonly used in shower curtains. Not sure I'd trust my food to it.

I wondered about that. On reusablebags.com, they have a snadwich wrap made out of it, which would be great if the stuff is safe. I am torn. I guess I have a few more years before my kids reach school age to learn about it!

I got all excited when I saw that but I have not been able to find it anywhere or even find any info on it.

I'd love to hear if you find anything out!

Good to know, thanks! I am not sure I wanted to know that body bags are made out of the same fabric I am considering for sandwich bags though!:eyesroll

I may go to the fabric store in town tomorow and have a look. If I find some, Rere, I will let you know!
