As I am not a mom just yet I would love to hear some of your home remedies for colds and etc.

Vitamin C and warm baths (to ease congestion). If he is really plugged up I will put saline in his nose and suck it out with a bulb sucker thingy. He hates it, but it is really hard for him to nurse when he can't breathe through his nose.

I never gave my babies cold medicine. Saline is good, but don't go too nuts with the nose suctioning as that can actually cause more secretion. Giving the baby a boob is a great way to blow their nose.
