I'm pretty sure I'm experiencing prodromal labor right now... backache, crampiness, lots of braxton hicks, nausea... I tried to go birthday present shopping for a friend today and had so much trouble not laying down in the middle of the store.

I'm calling DH off the boat, so lets hope his command grants him leave and we don't have to pay a million dollars for a flight home! If it was just me, I'd lay down and take a rest, but I'm not getting any rest with the toddler around, and my mom can't come out from CA until the 8th.

off to put the 2 year old to bed... I've been too sapped of energy to do the bedtime dance tonight, it's been delayed a couple of hours.

:hug When are you due?
There seems to be a lot of us stuck in "nearly but not quite" labour land.

I'm not due until the 8th or the 11th, depending on whose dates you're using. But still, it's SOOO early! Okay, so it's 3 weeks early, and technically 37 weeks is term, but still. I think it will probably stop as soon as I can relax. Temporary single parenting and night nursing are wearing me out.

I had been having tons of BH contractions during this pregnancy anyhow, but today is the first day that they came with cramping, too.

There seem to be a lot of us who had a really hard time at 37 weeks... you know, could take off at any minute, can't take another 3 weeks of this hard time...

Yeah, there have been several of us these days. I had it for about a week, off and on but I started napping with my daughter everyday and it is vastly better. I think rest can do a lot, do your best to get some! I hope your DH can come and help you out too. Oh, and drink LOTS of water!

Oh, it's most definitely brought on by lack of rest! That's for sure! But I get my husband back this week, so I'll be able to nap and I'll have a co-parent and maybe I can even get a pedicure! I just have to stick it out for a few more days and I'll be home free.

But seriously, I totally recommend water and napping/resting for everyone who is dealing with this. I feel great in the morning and it gets bad in the afternoon. It's just something I have to plan around now.
