natural lubricants?

I don't know *what* happened, but I got bone dry last time! So.......to avoid a torn condom....what do you recommend for me to have onhand? I don't want anything w/ spermicide and I don't want any chemicals. (We're using the Komodo natural latex no spermicide)

Someone told me once to use eggwhites. Anyone know if there is any "research" to support that suggestion??? We never tried it.

I've heard of egg whites, too. It's the most like normal cervical mucus, if you're TTC.

Ok, I read the egg white thing. Makes sense. But I still think it sounds weird... I mean what if you got some in your mouth... or if your partner got some in their mouth. I just keep picturing Rocky drinking raw eggs and it grosses me out. :gross I'm also picturing the Fear Factor episode where they had to drink a raw ostrich egg... ok, very off topic there... sorry. ;)

Yeah, I've heard of the egg whites for folks TTC. It always seemed creepy to me though.
Dont use olive or any oils if using rubbers-it deteriorates rubber. That is why some midwifes use ky jelly on the perinium instead of oilve oil so it doesnt break down their gloves.
We use aloe vera gel. Its very nice and natural.

For some reason our good friend told us about an experience with olive oil. I guess it works well but the scent is pretty strong. So just wanted to letcha know that...

And while I've never used egg whites, I read about a woman using them, and she said to just remember to have the whites be *room temp* not cold! :LOL

We always use olive oil, this yummy organic kind grown locally. BUT we don't use condoms!! Funny though, right after our last baby was born, the midwife got out our olive oil to put on the baby's bottom to prevent the meconium poops from sticking (great idea, btw) and I felt like I was going to throw up or SOMETHING bc the smell of the olive oil reminded me of SEX, which was the very last thing I wanted to think about just hours after birthing a huge baby!!kwim?
Also, when cooking or making salad dressing i start fantacising about making love with dh! LOL

We used eggs, and it's not as gross as you think - I mean, not as gross as some of the chemicals they put into other lubricants used for sex, IYKWIM....
Besides, once you start doin your thing, you forget 'bout the eggs. ;)
Beware: I got a vaginally irritated from the eggs, so it may not be good for everyone. Other ladies don't have probs with this, though.

kinda late but here's a good one..
i tried this kiwi stuff which was alright but then i found something from aloe life (aloe itself works good, too). it's organic aloe vera, calendula, allantoin, vitamin a, e, & zinc, & some other stuff.
even if you want it... sometimes you just gotta go for the lube!
i got it at the local co-op. i also saw some hemp stuff on the net!
