Does anyone have any good suggestions for an inclusive and cute baby book? Everything we find is all "My mommy this" and "My daddy that". We've seen some cool adoption ones, but nothing that fits our situation.

Thanks!

We got this "And Then There Was Me" book. It has pages for lots of different parenting scenarios and you can just remove the pages that don't apply.

We bought the Mosaic design book from this site:

It's not exactly what we were looking for, but it's nice and has been fun to fill out.

Thanks for the suggestions! Both are really cool. I love the colors on the mosaic one!

I ran across these awhile back, but I haven't looked into any of them yet.

ETA: Oops... read the post wrong. These aren't baby books in the journal sense, but rather story books.

I never used a baby book for any of my kids. Are you sure this is something you'll really have time for anyway? :lol

You're probably best off with a blank journal that you fill out however you like- many of the mainstream ones are filled with things like "coming home from the hospital" (I had home births), vaccine records (we delay vaccines until age 2 ish) and other things that simply didn't apply to my family or my baby- and why do I want a book filled with empty pages of things we dont' do or want to celebrate?

If you like to scrapbook or even if you don't you can always create your own book just for your babe! Scrapbook supplies are everywhere these days and you can add things just for you specific situation. I'm planning to look through traditional books to get ideas and then build my own using my computer/printer and scrapbooking supplies.

We got one from Molly West (http://www.mollywest.com/). The baby books use "parent" in place of gendered words.

I ended up scrapbooking with a list of ideas that I got one day reading all the mainstream baby books. I have to admit, I wish I had one that I could just write in. This scrapbooking crap is for the birds.

THis one is no longer available. Too bad, it looks very cute and I like how you can add/remove pages.

I was planning on creating my book while I'm pregnant (when I get pregnant ;)) so that all I have to do when the babe is here is write in it. I'll use some graphic software to create the pages as fill-in-the-blanks. I agree I imagine scrapbooking with a newborn=not so much fun.

Try Shutterfly. They have tons of choices- lots of colors and themes, and you can write your own text. They have sample page set-ups so its very easy. I'm having lots of fun doing one now for our son...
