Hi, ladies. I wrote in the title "after BFP", but I guess I really mean "after O". I am wondering what everyone is doing as far as exercise is concerned. I have an exercise regime which consists of 30 minutes of low-impact cardio 3-4 times a week (getting my heart rate up into the 140s-150s), and 2-3 days of yoga/pilates (The Perfect Pregnancy Workout video). Is it safe to keep this up? I worry about jeopardizing proper implantation... Poll time!

I continued my exercise routine and so far, this has been my easiest pregnancy ever! I didn't exercise during my last pregnancy and I developed GD and gained way too much weight. I was fatigued and had trouble breathing. This time, I feel wonderful! So long as there isn't some underlying medical reason not to continue (maybe discuss it with your care provider), I say go for it!:thumb

I kept doing everything I was doing before until morning sickness kicked my butt - that dropped my 5 days a week schedule down to about 2 days a week (from week 7 - 13) and now I'm back up to 3, trying to get back to 5 (since week 15).
No need to take a break after ovulation or after BFP - Your body can manage staying active (which it wants to do) and getting and staying pregnant. Also, I wouldn't assume that the lack of fertilization means that exercising is getting in the way, at least, not as a first step for figuring out whats (not) going on.

Here's the impetus behind the poll:
- No trouble getting pregnant, just trouble staying pregnant...
- DD: I rode and trained horses until I found out I was pregnant at 7 weeks. Otherwise very active, but no exercise regime. Preterm labor with DD at 32 weeks. Delivered at 37 weeks.
- 2 first trimester m/c (very active, no exercise regime). Underwent all maternal/paternal testing to determine cause of losses.
- I have been trying to gain 10 lbs because I am underweight. I am getting there slowly, but am still 6 lbs away from being at the low end of the ideal weight spectrum.
I want to stay strong and fit, but don't want to burn too many calories or jeopardize a sticky baby!

Well, see, those are special circumstances. You didn't mention that in your first post. If I were you, I'd stick w/ swimming, yoga, and walking a few miles a day and stay away from the higher impact stuff. Yoga is great for pregnancy, no reason to stop that!
