Dealing with pregnant women

What is the best way to deal with a pregnant woman in oder to avoid conflict.

Pregnant women are just people, the fact that you refer to them as something that needs to be "dealt with" is a little bothersome to me. Deal with them as sentient human beings - with the same respect you'd treat any woman and with which you would like to be treated.

Provide large quantities of the following:

Chocolate
Massage
Opportunities for her to express herself without fear of recrimination
Understanding

treat her as you would like to be treated if you were the pregnant one..
ie: If you were bloated, crampy, heartburny, nauseous,uncomfortable most of the day and extremely moody, sensitive and tired... how would you like to be treated?

Why don't you ask the pregnant woman in your life how she would like to be treated, and proceed from there?
