I need advice please! I'm 41 weeks + 1 day pregnant. For the past few days I have had premenstrual cramps in my uterus and low back, discharge, and a very small amount of bleeding. The baby dropped a few weeks ago and I've had a lot of pelvic pain since then. Does this sound like the beginning of labor? I'm so ready!

Could be...but could be a few more days still! Remember that AVERAGE gestation for a first-time mom is 41w2d, so you're only just now getting to average (which means half of women go longer!).

Sounds like your body is definitely getting ready, which is great--hang in there!

It does to me.....start walking to keep things going-oh, and be sure to get rest so you don't get too tired. Happy birthing vibes!

No updates yet. Everything seems to be coming and going. Does anyone know of the best way to help move things along at this point? Sex and walking don't seem to be helping too much.

This sounds so much like the days leading up to DS's birth. I think all you can really do to help it along is continue what you're doing (unless you want to get more drastic and talk to your care provider about really trying to induce with castor oil or something). I tried to think of these on-again, off-again contraction episodes and all the discharge etc as my body toning up...every practice run gets you a little closer to the real thing. I know that isn't much help - it plain old sucks waiting! I hope it happens soon!
