I went to the gym and worked out this morning for the first time in. . . well, never mind, it's been way too long! It felt so good. I'm going to try to keep up a regular exercise regimen with this pg. With my last two I was a couch potato. Plus, some of it is total and complete vanity on my part--this pregnancy will be during the Dreaded Swim Suit Season :eek.

So I'm just curious what everyone else is doing. My plan is to go to yoga twice a week and try to hit the gym for the ellipses machine and maybe some light weights another 2 or 3 days a week. Of course this plan is partially dependent on me hauling my backside out of bed before DH leaves for work in the a.m. :zzz Got to get to bed earlier. That's what DVR is for, right? :D

BTW--what is the recommendation on abdominal exercises these days? Is it still only through the first trimester?

It does feel good to work out when you have the energy to do it! I only made it to the gym once this week b/c I was SO exhausted. I couldn't even keep my eyes open, let alone do 30 min on the elliptical!

We have the Exercise/Fitness thread too where we are all keeping track of our workouts. It might have gotten onto page 2 by now! Oops!

Not sure about the ab exercises. I know you can use the stability ball though.

Good luck!

I've been speed walking 4-6 times a week and doing pilates twice a week. I'll start jogging when the weather eases up.. it's been so darn rainy! I was a couch potato my last pregnancy, too, it started with the subchor. bleed at 6 weeks, then a large clot.. told to take it easy, and I was afraid too much would cause me to lose the baby. This time around I fully intend to work out the entire time. I'm super exhausted these days, but I work out in the morning before I get too tired, and I have a walking/running buddy to keep me going.
