What is this? Contractions?

Ok, I'm pretty sure they're not, but seriously, What the hell am I feeling? :lol

With my DS, I had horrible back labor. I have only felt contractions in my back, never up front like normal people do. I'm due on Friday, btw.

For the last couple of weeks, mostly at night, I get a strong, painful pressure on my cervix. I'd think maybe they were contractions, but the baby is generally moving while this is going on. So is the baby just pushing itself really hard against my cervix to torture me? Or is it possible that the baby is moving while I'm having contractions? And if these are not contractions, are they doing anything to bring me closer to labor? AND, if these are not contractions, will someone PLEASE tell me what contractions feel like!?

I have that too. I just assumed that it was the baby moving and pressing on my cervix as he was wiggling around. . *Sometimes* I do feel a contraction during it, but not always.

Yup, with my last DD I'd get sharp pains in my cervix from her banging against it. As for contractions, mine always started out feeling like AF cramps and gradually got more painful and extended around my whole belly. My belly would also go VERY hard during these 'cramps'.
