Huh, stretch marks this time?

I didn't get a single stretch mark last pregnancy, and this time, I just found a bunch of them below my belly button! I gave birth to DD at 38w4d, and I'm 38w today, I even weigh a couple of pounds less right now than I did at 38w last time, my uterus is measuring a little smaller and I have been taking loads of EFA's this time, where I didn't take any last time. Maybe I just haven't been drinking as much water.

Funny how that can happen (hopefully this could mean that DS's temperament a a baby cold be different than DD's) . I kind of like them - it's just going to take some time to get used to :) I like getting tattooed for special occasions and I like that this is as though my son is tattooing on me to mark this special occasion, I can't think of anything more fitting :love

Yeah, I hardly had any stretch marks first time around. I'm 40 weeks and my belly looks like a read spider web! Everyone else seems to be bothered by them but me.

How sweet to think of them as tattoos! I think I will too, now, I like that. I have them on my tummy below my belly button and on my love handles. I don't hate them, per se, but they aren't my favorite attribute either.

The only thing I can think of is that you grew faster at some point, instead of more gradually like you may have with your first? The water thing's probably right on, too. Maybe a seasonal thing? If you're bigger during the winter (chapstick season), that could contribute too, I suppose.
