I have an appointment on friday to meet an OB in town to see if he'll do a vba2c and to get a confirmation of pregnancy. I have another appointment on March 12th to interview a different OB about vba2c.

Don't be shy :) I am getting b/w done because I had a m/c 6 weeks ago and my OB said he'd check for me for peace of mind :o. I also need to know if the NPC I am on is doing enough to increase my progesterone levels or if I need suppositories, instead...

Ooh, how cool would it be to find an OB willing to do a vba2c?!

They get their levels checked if there's a history of miscarriage, or low progesterone, or just because... :) I have low progesterone, and have had 3 losses, so the second I get a BFP I call the dr to get my levels checked.

Ok, now. My first "real" appointment is March 11, with the RE. I'll be getting an ultrasound at that appt. 6w 1d

Yes, same as the others - they are sending me for bloodwork because I had a m/c. One of my symptoms with the m/c (aside from the obvious) was low progesterone.

well i wish i had appointments to report. I am starting the process of interviewing midwives for a home birth, left messages with 2 and haven't received calls back. the third was busy when i called, then i spaced out calling her back. hopefully i will have some appt next week

I had my first betas done Monday (still don't know the results) and second beta's tomorrow. April 4th is the first official appt at the OB/GYN where I'll be 7-8 wks. Certainly calling up the local midwife group to set up some interviews.

I think this time around I am choosing a up/uc. Other than labs I can do my own prenatal care ~ heartbeat, weight, fundal measurement, pee stick & BP. Last time around I needed the emotional time w/my mw, my appts were like 2 hrs each and it was my first vaginal birth after 2 cs. She is no longer practicing and there aren't any mw's around who would take me on w/o the stipulation of: We are just friends and if you have to go in then you were planning a UC and Im not really your care provider. As a mw student/apprentice I get it from a political business standpoint, but at my birth I don't need any fearful/anxious energy. So unless something looks wacky im not going into see anyone. I like to think Im the expert of my own body!

That's a shame. We actually have two midwiferies in Pittsburgh. One is both freestanding and practicing out of a hospital and the other practices out of a women's health hospital. But midwife deliveries are very much not a part of this steel city stuck in the "good old days." So it's pretty easy to get in with either group.

Appointment today (I said the wrong date before on this thread) went well. Ultrasound for dating confirmation on April 16th (at we think 10 wks, 6 days). Next check up on May 5th (13 wks, 4 days).

First confirmation visit was April 3rd. Had ultrasound (8 weeks, 4 days) and blood drawn. So amazing seeing baby and that heart beat (167 bpm!). First "official" visit is scheduled for April 14th. :love

I'm a little behind...I just got insurance so I have a u/s on the 8th, a MW consult on the 10th, and a OB appt on 14th that I will prolly cancel. I made the OB appts (u/s incl.) end of Feb before I started thinking bout HB. I am almost 100% sure I will be going for HB, so if MW consult goes well I might cancel with the OB.

I have finally scheduled an appointment, I see a high risk specialist april 29, If my dates are correct we will be 12 weeks 3 days. We are still waiting on insurance, but the doctors are willing to work with me and don't want me to wait any longer to come in and be seen. This will be new doctor for me, as I just didn't think I can handle seeing the same doctor that I went through the last miscarriage with.


had my appt. yesterday, everything looked good, and saw heartbeat on US but he didn't use a doppler, so I still haven't heard it.

Had my first interview yesterday. I think it went well. I liked the midwives and will try to reserve judgment on the other one until I meet her on Friday.

Didn't hear a hb, but the mw picked it up on the doppler (it just wouldn't come through the speakers). 150 bpm. Yay! The definite highlight of my week.

How'd the appt go?



Had another appt today myself. Everything is measuring right on target. Heartbeat at 144. Midwife is supposed to get my u/s appt set up. She'll call me when she gets through.

We had a consult with one fetal specialist today, we have another tomorrow at 12:30. We also have another ultrasound at 8am on the 21st of July and a check up with the midwives on the 29th at 9:20 am. Whew. I'm going to keep this list long, lol.
