They aren't the BEST, as the house is small and was crowded, but some good ones of him coming out of the water!:D
After 3 weeks of thinking "this is it"! The real thing started Sunday night 2/24 during DH's birthday dinner at my IL's, on my EDD! CTX were pretty strong with a lot of bloody show by 10pm, but I stubbornly went to bed. At 6am I couldn't stay in bed anymore. Ctx were only 2-3 min apart, and lasting only 30 sec. I took a bath and tried to eat breakfast with DH. My older girls woke about 8:45, and were excited that we were going to have a baby today! We watched the video "Birth Day" with them as prep. AT 10 am Dh and I went for a beautiful walk in the snowy sunny woods, we talked about names, and how excited we were. By the time we got back it was hard to walk through the ctx, DH filled up the birth tub. We called the midwives and they said they'd start heading over. At 11am my MIL and SIL came over. They brought food and fed the girls. ctx were getting hard so DH and went up to the bedroom around 11:30. I needed dimmer lights and privacy. I was starting to panic a little--I couldn't believe how much it hurt! How could I have forgotten. By the time the midwives arrived, at 12:20 I was nauseous and wanted to cry. I felt like I was entering transition, but couldn't hope that things were going that quickly.
Baby needs me, I'll hurry...
I got in the tub, transition was miserable. He was born in the water at 1:23pm. I caught his head myself and then the midwives helped me get his shoulders out. It was amazing!
He weighed 8lbs 10 oz, was 19 3/4 inches. Nursed after 20 minutes. And has been nursing since!
