View Full Version : stupid, stupid me!

I cut a FRER test in half lengthwise and used half at 12dpo (Saturday). Nice, dark line! Yay. Stored the other half away for today (14dpo). PIAC, dipped it, and it was negative! Oh no! I rip open a new FRER, re-PIAC (SMU after a cup of tea - much more diluted) and it was positive but lighter than the 12dpo. So now I'm freaking out. I assume the second half of the old test was just invalid from sitting open for two days and I assume that the SMU test was lighter because it was less diluted urine.

What did I do? I'm freaking out because I didn't just take one test the right way and accept it 2 days ago... grrr! Anyone want to talk me down? :o

It's likely fine, mama! You shouldn't trust the darkness of the test because it is based on the amount of dye, which varies from test to test even within the same package at times.

Exactly! Plus, with one not being FMU... I'd just step away from the test. :wink

Maybe the stupidest thing I've done is start telling people about the first BFP...

Answer HPT from this afternoon 14dpo (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/jlks/Answer14dpoPM.jpg) :(

I'm shaking here. DH has a very late work meeting and I'm alone with the kids until probably midnight. The only people who know about this pg at this point are at home doing dinner and bedtime with their own kids so I can't really call.... and what would I say, anyway?

:hug What's a FRER test?

It seems weird that you'd get two positives and then a negative... maybe try a different test? Or can you get a blood test?

Sounds very stressful... big :hug

:hugs to you mama - but to me they all look positive - and a line is a line. I too would order a Beta test to ease your mind.

Good Luck!

Is there a light 2nd line in the 14dpo test? I could swear I see one. Is it my imagination?

It still looks positive to me... (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v62/escape__route/Untitled-1-2.jpg)

I see it! Very light, but definitely there. If it were me, I'd still want a digital test. Can your DH pick one up on his way home for you to do in the morning?

I see the line on that one. I wouldn't trust any urine that is not FMU, either mama.

Still looks positive to me. My first line for DS2 looked that faint.

I know I'm not in the DDC, but I'm lurking for early pg symptoms, and wanted to add my 2cents.

Jumping in from the July DDC, and because I love POAS threads :bag: but I saw a line in the 14 dpo test even before andi-mama darkened it.

yeah, I know there's a faint, faint line on that Answer but the point is that it's so much lighter than the earlier tests.

This morning's test (an IC that I've been using every day) had nothing on it. It seems like the lines peaked at 12-13 dpo and have become lighter.

My BBT also dropped .2 degree. Not below the coverline, but...

I'm just feeling bad about this.

No cramping or bleeding yet so I wonder if there's hope? Anyone know anything about teas, supplements or something that will support it if it's otherwise healthy but my body's failing? And not maintain something that's not healthy?

Sigh...

I'll keep you updated.

Thank you, mamas!

I really appreciate the support but it looks like you will be going on this journey without me. I have started cramping and spotting - both light at this point. :(

Wishing everyone a happy and HEALTHY nine months! :blowkiss:
