Hi,

I am looking for pen pals for my daughter and her class. There are 12 students in the class and we still need about 6 pen pals. We are interested in pen pals from anywhere in the world. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi, my (just turned) 5yo daughter is in pre-K (starts kindergarten next year), and is just starting to write. We live in Germany but will be moving to Canada in July.
PM us if we'd qualify.

My DD is 7 and would love to be a pen pal. :) She would really like a girl to write to.

As an aside; if you have a senior corp volunteer organization near you (perhaps at your local area of aging office?), the retired & elderly are really awesome letter writers. If you wanted to go that route, there is a lot to be learned intergenerationally :)

My DD is in second grade
She'd love a pen pal though if anyone has a second grader :-)
What is a writting level and how would you know? My DD's school has reading level on their report cards but not writting levels.

They don't have written levels written on dd's progress reports either. i classify her as late k- early first grade, just a guess based on what her class is doing and what it seems like the public schools around here are at. I don't know if I am correct in that guess though.

If you would like her to participate they might be able to match her up appropriately. Does she write stories with a begging, middle, and end? Full sentences? Is she still mostly using creative spelling?

Yeah (to the stories). She doesn't use creative spelling though- she can spell most words that she needs to. She's also a late 2nd grader- having been born in November.
Her reading level is grade three, I would imagine her spelling level would be about the same? I can't find her report card- it measures in below, at, above and substantially above grade level but not which ones. She was either at or above last term.
If there are any kids who are older or a little above their grade levels, she'd love it! My mother (in fl) was going to set her up with a friend's grandson to write to but it never happened. She was really disappointed :-(
