I have been in limbo about either going to the only free standing birthing center or having a HB I have always wanted a HB but I didnt know how I would pull it all together well over the last few days I have been talking to a MW who I had booked marked on my computer when we were still TTC well after talking to her it is a go I am planning a HOME BIRTH:love

I go in for my 1st appointment in about a month and I am sooo excited I feel so at ease and calm I turely feel like I am doing the right thing

good for you & best of luck! i don't have any experience with birth centres, but i do know that even if it's somewhere that's quite nice, it's still different than home. it still would have smells that are new, people you don't know, & the possibility of many unfamiliar encounters while you're in labour. when you're at home, you are likely to be much more relaxed & in control of what you are exposed to. you've made the right choice! =)

Congratulations on your decision. I know that it must have taken a lot of research, thought and finding the right midwife for you. I hope to follow in your footsteps soon (I'm not even pregnant yet!)!
