Potato chips seem to be the only thing that settle my stomach. First I eat the chips (and it calms my nausea), then I can eat "real food."

Guacamole, tortilla chips and mild salsa. And lemonade.
And I can't stand the thought of sugary stuff, which is so weird for me.

My cravings have been Chicken Divan (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Quick-Chicken-Divan/Detail.aspx) and Berger Cookies (http://bergercookies.com/)!

They both started before I got the positive test! Last week I just HAD to have Chicken Divan. I was going to a friend's house for dinner, but HAD to make some to have a bite or two before I left. :D

As for the Berger cookies, they are a Baltimore treat. They are a shortbread-ish cookie topped with a pile of the best chocolate fudge. mmmmmmmm....they are to die for! :thumb

I think I better stock up on chicken, cheese, and broccoli! LOL

I craved lemonade with my first 2 pregnancies and am craving it again. I never drink it when I'm not pregnant. Here's the interesting thing...I just read that lemonade can help nausea! Maybe that's why!

I also crave bananas (for all 3 pregnancies), but my new craving is ketchup on scrambled eggs. Gross! I usually hate the thought of ketchup on eggs and haven't given into it yet. But why do I keep craving it?

No desire for sweet stuff here, either. I could barely choke down the apple I had for breakfast.

It seems like as soon as I eat carbs, I crave protein, and as soon as I eat protein, I crave carbs. I guess this is my body's way of keeping my diet balanced!

Let me tell ya, Trader Joes Ginger Echinechea Lemonade has been a God-send for my morning sickness. I dilute it half w water and it is an instant cure. I'm scared to look up echinachea and make sure it's ok in pregnancy b/c I will die if I have to stop drinking it!

Don't worry about it, especially with the small amount in a diluted drink! :thumb

"CONCLUSIONS: This first prospective study suggests that gestational use of echinacea during organogenesis is not associated with an increased risk for major malformations."

"Despite concerns that echinacea may be unsafe for pregnant or breastfeeding women, evidence suggests that the use of echinacea during pregnancy does not increase the risk of birth defects or other pregnancy-related health problems."
