Insurance?

Hello mommies!! I been browsing these boards for months now and have found so much helpful info!! You all are awesome!
I am not pregnant yet, we are starting to try this fall but we are trying to figure out some insurance things to find out if its covered or we need to have some money back for it. I am planning to have a home birth and I cant find anywhere through my insurance if they cover it or not. So I was just wondering if any of you have used the insurance through Dunn & Associates, I think its like the sagamore plan? Has anyone dealt with them? Its through my husbands work. Anyone who has gone through this that could help me I would appreciate it!

Maybe try asking to see if they cover mid-wives? That might be a good start. If they don't cover those, then they don't cover a homebirth.

Call them and ask them how they cover homebirth (not IF, HOW).

Thanks! I did talk with the midwife I have been using and she said that most of the time if you ask the insurance ahead of time they will tell you no they wont cover it. What she does is sends them a bill and since its so cheap MOST of the time she said they will cover it. So I guess we will just wait and see. . .
