I got PUPPP at 20 weeks and then started dandelion root and it went away until week 28. At that point the dandelion wasn't really working anymore so I started drinking nettle tea, using Rainier soap, itch-relief creams, Aveeno baths, etc. The only thing that brought real relief at night was Sarna.
At 35 weeks, it got so bad that I was ready to try any steroid treatment that I could get but my husband started looking online for other remedies and saw that some women put yogurt on their rash. I really didn't think it would work but the rash has been completely controlled for a week and a half since I started doing that, I guess the live cultures dry up the rash. I put it on the rash and then get in the shower but without the water touching it, rub it in my skin for a few minutes and then wash it off and use the Rainier soap. As soon as I get out of the shower I use Calendula oil all over and it's like a miracle, no itching. Some days I do the yogurt once and other days if I'm a little more itchy I'll do it a couple times. Definitely try it if you're suffering from this horrible rash or pass it along to anyone you know who has it!!
