View Full Version : Does anybody get worried when they feel *well*!?

I found out I was pregnant a week and a day ago, and pretty much every day since I've been nauseous on and off all day. And ALWAYS hungry. I've felt like I had a hangover all day every day.
Today, I feel significantly better - less nauseous, maybe less bloated, and kind of hungry but no appetite... if that makes sense. I got a pita for lunch and a 20 oz. Coke (which I have been craving like crazy?), drank the Coke, and ate about 1/3 of the pita before I felt full. That's all I've eaten today.
All in all, I feel good... normal, even. Which, of course, has me in a tizzy that there's something wrong with the pregnancy because I don't feel like crap!
Does anybody else worry like this?

Yep. All the time.
Unless I am near barfing, I'm convinced the worst is happening. (I have...a history.)

Yes, I worry everyday. I don't go in for an appointment for another 4 weeks and it's just killing me. I just want to see my precious baby and know that everything is ok. If I don't feel tired or sick I wonder what's wrong. Then I keep asking myself how I felt at this point in my last two pregnancies. I don't have a history of m/c so I can't even imagine what today must have been like for you. My heart and prayers go to you!!
yep. feeling good makes me feel bad. the off and on nausea started today...exactly the same as last pregnancy (after exhaustive checking of my chart and blog from last time around!!) i'd like to say that i will worry less if we see a good, strong heartbeat at the 8 week appt...but i know from experience that i will worry through the whole pregnancy, no matter what.

ditto here.
I had one day of feeling decent and was so happy when the nausea returned. Ridiculous but true!

I will be a basket case until I see a heartbeat! after 4 losses I'm a wreck. Fearful to go to the bathroom for fear I'll see blood, etc. I think it's only natural after you loose a baby. Hopefully we'll all be able to relax a bit in a few weeks! :wink

funny, I felt great yesterday, just tired, convinced something was wrong, then bam, just to make me "feel better" I have felt miserable all morning, lol.

I was pretty hell-bent on avoiding ultrasounds other than the 20 week, but I may be changing my mind. :irked: I think I may need some reassurance.
That said, I won't be seeing the doctor until almost 12 weeks, so... boo.
I sit here hoping to be nauseous, and then if I feel nauseous, I sit here wondering if I only feel that way because I just made myself feel that way or of I'm genuinely nauseous. This is doubleplus stupid because my mom never got nauseous with her pregnancies, so it's entirely possible no nausea is normal for me.

omg I'm also 5 wks and I've been so paranoid about things this time. This is my 5th pregnancy. The last 3 I've been nauseous, especially with the last 2, and this time.. nothing. Maybe a tiny bit here and there but seriously last time I could only eat french fries (that I ALWAYS avoid, otherwise) Every time I go potty I check for blood. how paranoid is that!!?? I just do not feel pregnant. So weird for me.
I've been craving cokes as well.

I've been craving cokes as well.
I mentioned this to my mom, and she said she was a life-long Pepsi drinker until she got pregnant with me, when she started craving Coke out of the blue.
I wonder what it is about Coke? Nothing else sweet sounds good, so it's kind of weird that syrupy soda sounds good!

Absolutely! I keep thinking I feel TOO GOOD! I've had hypermesis with 2 out of my 4 pregnancies and I've always had at least gagging and sometimes throwing up by now. It's unnerving to feel so...good! I'm hoping that I get a little sicker in the next week or so, just for the reassurance factor but I would not be at alllllll sad if hypermesis skipped me this time around! :shrug it seems so silly to want to be sick, but I wish I was! Then I remind myself that every pregnancy is different, and each of mine has been. Maybe this time I'll just not get too sick!!!

Yes! I do! A couple weeks after i found out I had a couple days that I felt really good and I was scared! I don't particularly like feeling sick, but it is better then freaking out!

Now that I have read all the posts I have to add that I DO NOT like coke usually, I find it gross actually, but I have been craving it too.

Yay! I'm glad to know I'm not alone. I have been feeling totally normal. Yes, I know its still SOOO early, but I think with DS I started feeling something different by around 4 wks. Sometimes I think I feel some nausea, but then I think its just psychosomatic or something. I'm trying to be at peace with it and just accept that I really have no control over it, but sometimes it's hard! :)
I guess I'm just worried this time around b/c this was my first post partum cycle and im still nursing a lot and I think my hormones are not quite in balance yet. We'll see...
AND I dont even have any cravings yet... But I suppose that is a blessing b/c last time I craved the worst stuff in the first tri (only fried, cheesy etc.) :D

i felt nauseous, exhausted, headachey for a few days and then for the last 4 days have been feeling quite good. it crossed my mind to be worried but i've gotten over it. wish i could ask my mom how her pregnancies were but am waiting til about 12 weeks to tell 'em.
i feel a bit nauseous if i go hungry but as long as i Listen to my body (appetite is Very specific now) and eat lots of small regular meals a day, i seem to be able to avoid bad nausea.
when i've felt slightly nauseous: trader joe's ginger chews, sea bands (on wrists), lemon/lime ice water or seltzer water or fresh ginger tea (grate & boil ginger w/water) have been really helpful.
