View Full Version : Anyone else showing?
So is anyone else showing? I am a little bit which surprises me. IS that normal for your third baby? I might have to switch to maternity jeans soon.

I'm pooching out a little - I'm not sure if I'm showing or if I just can't hold it in anymore! I'm on #2, so I know my muscles are more relaxed.:eyesroll

I am 6w4d and I look like I did last time at 2 months. I heard the more babies you have, the earlier you show. I love it!:love

In the morning my stomach is flattish (well, for me), but by evening or after I eat anything, major pooch. It's like the real estate down there is being taken up by...something...

Not truly showing, but definetly under the attack of the bloat! I look like I ate a few cheeseburgers and chased it with at least 3 cokes lol. My jeans are just a little bit snug, not too bad yet. I'm thinking about getting the extenders they sell at babies r us to expand the life of my regular jeans for a while longer.

I'm not in maternity jeans yet, but I know the maternity clothes are just around the corner.

I am. <sigh> Doesn't help that I'm wearing the mat. clothes already, but I can't stand my old jeans on my waist. DH insists it's the "glow," not the belly, that gives it away. He is a clever man. ;)

I'm poochy but I can feel my uterus, it's like a big grapefruit already!
Amazing room for something the size of a watermelon seed right now.
I bought some mat. shorts for the summer already, but it's still chilly.

I'm not really showing, but definately bloated. The funny thing is before I knew I was pregnant I bought some new shirts that look like maternity shirts (high band or tapering under the breasts.) Those seem to be in style--I bought them in a regular store and thought they were cute. Days later, I found out that I am pregnant and NOW I'm self-conscious about wearing them. I haven't worn them at all.

I just get bloated at the end of the day and my breasts are huge (for me) but 2 people in my dance company now have said that they think I look pregnant. :irked: they're too damned observant!! Last night it was my director saying it, and he said it crossed his mind not because I've put on weight but because I seem to have filled out or something and just look more womanly. I guess I can take that. I'm 5'2" and small--I got stopped by a vanload of cops who thought I was a truant teenager the other day-I'm 27--so if I am looking more "womanly," maybe it's a good thing.

I am on pregnancy #6, though I only have 1 child. The other 4 pregnancies all ended by 5 weeks, so I can really only count this as #2 at this point. I am not showing yet, but I still have a lot of extra weight from my DD that hasn't come off. My best friend is due early Jan and she has started to show this week. She is going to have to put on maternity pants soon! I'm praying I have a few more weeks! :)

I like your DH!

Oh this is so me! lol I seem to get the most bloated at night. My sister is the only one that seems to really be able to tell. She noticed it right off on Friday night, and was like, "you weren't that big before!?" lol
I can tell that my uterus is poked out a little from being hard, but no one else can notice that but DP. hehe.

got my new pants on today--whoo hooo!!! :D They have made such a difference! I went up by a size.
I also have to add that 3 more people in my dance company remarked that I looked "different" this weekend--one told me to stop putting on weight :irked:, one said I was "filling out" and starting to look like a "woman" :p, and my director declared that he thought I was pregnant because I had a rosiness about me. Why are they so damned observant? :irked: I'm only like 2 seconds pregnant! :p

I've started bloating. :(
The hardest part for me is I'm so damned tall, so there are very few places I can buy maternity pants. :( And most of them are so expensive! So we are going to see if the Belly Band type things and those rubber band type things for the buttons will work for long. Stupid legs. :p
apparently i am. someone even patted my belly (!!) at the wedding i attended this weekend and said "are you expecting"? so much for the dress that i thought was so flattering. she wasn't the only one that guessed either. ugh. my belly looks normal and flat in the morning, but after my first bites of food it just grows a ton and i look 14-15 weeks.

Dude. I'm in the same boat. Last time around bought every single pair of 8Talls off of the gap.com maternity site and tried them all on at home. then i returned all but two pairs to the store (they don't usually stock talls in everything).

I got the cutest shirt before I was PG in the style you are talking about and I am too worried EVERYONE will know I am Pg if I wear t now! It isn't even supposed to be a maternity shirt! I will be glad I have it later this summer though, i don;t have many maternity cloths from DD. I borrowed a lot of stuff form friends.
In RE to showing. i feel really bloated at the end of the day and cant suck it in. I can also tell my stomach isn't flat anymore when i lay on my back, it pokes out a little. I had to take off my jeans and put on yoga pants half way through the day yesterday.

Oh, I KNOW. I have a 36-37" inseam and I haven't found a single place that carries maternity pants long enough for me. :irked: It's hard enough finding non-maternity pants, and they're usually an inch or two short and need to be lengthened. :angry I'm basically planning on spending the summer and fall in skirts and flip-flops and the winter in leggings and Uggs, since it's also impossible to find shoes for my boat-feet (size 13, dude), and all my pretty shoes are already snug. I'm DREADING the feet growing/swelling thing and really hope it doesn't happen to me (but I know it will). I don't think I could emotionally handle a size 14 shoe. :yikes:
If anyone has tips for maternity pants with inseams that long, PLEASE share!

They are kinda expensive, but EVERY PANT THERE has a 36-37 inseam. :D I'm hoping to get a pair of jeans and a pair of dress pants.
So awesome. :D

I'm 6'1.5" to be nit-picky, but I usually just say 6'1". My sister is 5'10" like you. Weird!

I'm not showing yet, but with my 2 pgs I bought long jeans from american eagle that were super low rise. I had one size for the beginning and a bigger size for later on. I think I'm going to try out those belly bands this time around so I can wear my regular jeans.

I'm glad I'm not the only one "showing". This is my 5th pregnancy (third baby) and I'm only 5 weeks, but by the end of the day I look 6 months pregnant. I already had a belly, but seriously, my clothes are not going to fit in a week. I really look pregnant though. I know it is just bloating, but my 15 and 16 y/o dsd's keep saying it will be twins because of how big I look already!

I am also glad I'm not the only one! I also look okay in the morning, also get a big bloaty belly by the evening.
I'm slim with terribly untoned abs, so I'm prone to the pooch at the best of times. So now at least I can wear the unflattering shirts I avoided wearing before I got pregnant -- one empire-waist tunic in particular really played up my pre-existing belly, so every time I put it on I thought, "I can't wear this, because everyone is going to ask me if I am finally pregnant."
Now I can wear it and blame the belly on the baby! :)
