HAHA, I haven't even talked to dh about it, how bad am I?? Although I know him well enough to know he will be fine with it.

I've done clomid 2x total before. Once for a CCCT (clomid challenge test to check ovarian reserve) and once for a clomid/IUI cycle that never worked (that was September 2001). I just knew that trying right after the WTC wasn't going to work, because I was so stressed. I never ended up Oing that cycle.

The problem is that I started getting really freaky, feeling like I was crazy that cycle. But now that I think about it, it was when everyone was feeling crazy so maybe it wasn't just the clomid?

I'm midcycle now so I have to wait for AF. Feeling a bit nervous since I am 39 1/2 with a almost 14 year old. But Dh and I have really worked out some past issues we had that I know effected me being ready to have a child and we are so close. I just feel like we are finally ready to do this.

I sometimes wonder if it's just me wanting to fill the noid of the baby we lost. Ok, I'm going to take that past to TTC after a loss board.

Let me know how it goes!!!
you are in great shape, and still very young, so I wouldn't worry about that aspect of it. And seeing as I first met you in TTC, I *know* how much you want that baby!!!!
Sending much fertility to you sistah!

Thanks Butterflymaiden,

I'm just doing the clomid alone and BDing by timing with charting and OPK. Figured I might as well chart and do OPKs to get all the info I can. I'm not doing a monitored cycle with US because we are currently overextended financially. No progesterone either. Not doing robitussin, because before I got ample CM while taking clomid.

BTW, talked to DH about it last night and he said he had been thinking about ttc again too. So I guess it's syncronicity.

Call me a big sap, but the fact that you and your DH were ready at the same time without having talked about it seems very auspicious to me.

I hope that the clomid journey works for you.

I have only been pregnant twice in my life---and I honestly would have never been if not for Clomid. It did make me crazy--the night I got pregnant with my son I picked the hugest fight ever with my husband over him smiling at a girl we both knew...it was just awful. It was 9 years ago and I still remember that fight! But thank God we still did the deed that night and I got pregnant with Matthew. I needed to use Clomid and Progesterone suppositories for both of my pregnancies.

Good luck to you, Sweetie. I hope your dream comes true:thumb

thanks, and you guys are too funny.

I think I found a trick that helps me anyway, with the clomid side effects. I'm making sure I take it with a meal. I think it might slow the absorption rate, but anyway I had less crazy side effects yesterday. Just one mild hot flash.

Adina, good luck in your 2ww.

butterfly, are you gearing up to O yet??

dh doesn't need surgery, but he is having physical therapy for the next month so his knee will heal faster.

Glad you Oed :D If you conceive this cycle you'll always be able to use your dh's pain while bding as guilt material/proof of love with your dc. :LOL OMG that is definitely something my mother would come up with.
I'm continuing to send you positive energy. Pun intended.

Thanks ButterflyMA :D

just wondering, did you skip a cycle between the clomid? I'm thinking if this cycle is a bust, I'll do a natural cycle next month. Don't want to be all hormonal during the holidays. And I think a month rest between feels right.

What do you think?

butterflyma
11-15-2003, 09:12 PM
I didn't take a break between my 2 cycles, but I felt okay on the hormones and I knew if I stopped to think about taking or not taking the drugs, there'd be a chance I'd wait another 6+ months to do them again. But, of course, that's me. You've gotta do what is right for you. Being the wise woman you are :D you know what that is.

My vote: "no" to this cycle being a bust! :LOL

gonnabeamom
11-16-2003, 10:40 AM
Arduinna,

I have no relevant experience with Clomid.

I do however have a vote for your following your intuition on this, you are the best expert on your own body, and you've shown a lot of wisdom so far in figuring out how to make this work for you.

Also I agree with Butterflyma, I vote that this cycle shouldn't be a bust.

Arduinna
11-17-2003, 09:45 AM
Cd1 here, so last cycle was a bust.

thanks for the support everyone :-)

Did you decide to take a break or continue with the Clomid?

Arduinna
11-17-2003, 12:20 PM
Thanks Adina,

we are going to do natural this cycle. I want to at least skip a month between, especially after reading about REs finding increased issues with lining from doing clomid 3 cycles in a row with no break.

:hug Arduina,

I hope this cycle is peaceful and relaxation for you.

Boy, now there is info I wish I had when I was taking the Clomid.....

Bummer...oh well, I am going to keep with the super positive...and assume I am just fine!

Arduinna
11-17-2003, 09:50 PM
Adina, I'm sure your fine now. The stuff I read says that the lining goes back to normal after a month or two of stopping the clomid.

Thanks gonnabemom :-)

:hug Arduinna :hug I'm sorry :( Perhaps the clomid will have gotten your hormones kick started for this coming natural cycle. Your babytime is coming :thumb :hug
