I was a good 50 feet behind this woman on the sidewalk, but her perfume was making me gag!! And the gorgeous pine trees outside my office, the smell of which I usually love:treehugger:, are making me nauseous.:( So far the magnolias are OK (thank goodness).
Anyone else oversensitive to smells right now?

lol yes. I normally LOVE :love peanut butter (it's a staple food in my life) Everytime I make a pb&j for the little guy I nanny for I want to vomit. Also sometimes my husband smells funny (and I know it's just me) and it makes me gag! Poor guy.

mine is annoying.
I SMELL every thing! (which isn't good with my house cleaning skills as of late :bag: )
Luckily I am hardly ever nauseas. With my first pregnancy oh man smells sent me over the edge constantly. (I was throwing up about 5 times a day the 1st trimester, then it lessened but continued through out the pregnancy.)
and not that it was a smell thing but every time I tried to kiss DH I would have to run and throw up. If i brushed my teeth I would too, prenatals made me. Gosh that was a VERY TOUGH three months. Then the last trimester of her pregnancy I was throwing up about 2-3 times a week.

I was like that with DS. Perfumy smells were just too much and would make me sick to my stomach. This time around it doesn't seem so bad, but then again with DS the smell thing didn't really hit until later in the first trimester.

Dish detergent makes me want to hurl every time. Oatmeal (I never realized how nasty of a smell that is before- wtf? I swear it never used to smell). Our hired man who eats lunch with us everyday (he does make me hurl then I take a nap- geez- take a freaking shower and brush your dang teeth). Bacon, hamburger....

I can smell everything, but it's not making me too sick. Not yet anyway. All the foods at the gorcery today smelled strong and the wet pavement when it started raining. The dirty dishes and the garbage were bothering me yesterday and they weren't even that bad.

My nose is definitely picking up EVERY scent, but I haven't had any aversions yet *crosses fingers*

Last night at work (I'm a paramedic) the smells just about made me pass out!
Just a few of them:
fake fruity shampoo smell of a patient
industrial cleansers at the jail where we went for a drugged up guy who bashed his head in
my vinyl gloves and the cops' latex gloves
drugged up guy's dirty socks
drugged up guy's breath
drugged up guy's blood
gas at the gas station
cigarette of another patient
more blood
cooking smells of my partners at the station
garbage at the station
I'm getting desperate ... I might have to resort to the stinky dead body trick of putting vicks rub under my nose.

When we were walking for Relay for Life a few weeks ago before I knew I was PG, the smell of the diesel trucks (for the DJ, vendors, etc) was really bugging me.
My coworker's flavored coffee grosses me out.
I notice a lot of amazing wonderful nature smells, though. When I walk home from the bus every day, it is so great smelling roses and honeysuckle and so on.

wow starling i would have lost my cookies a number of times with that sort of list. Smells are the number one thing that make me throw up, or almost. Luckily i have only done it once so far this pregnancy.
