Hi Ladies,

My MW told me to pour some witch hazel on some pads and freeze them for after birth. I went to a local natural grocery store today and all I could find was Witch Hazel with Aloe Toner (it was in the skin care section). Is that what I should use or should I be looking for something else?

TIA!!

You can get straight witch hazel from an unnatural pharmacy like CVS or Rite-Aide. Or order it from Thayer's (http://www.thayers.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3&zenid=3e60d23c173c4e933a282a51fa105f5c). This is the brand they sell at my food co-op. They have a store locator on the website, too.

Frozen witch hazel on a pad is little taste of post partum heaven for your girly parts.

My SIL just had a baby and lives in Jamaica Plain. I can ask her where she got it (her OB didn't mention this little trick, but I passed it on to her), but I can almost guarantee you can get it from Stop and Shop or Whole Paycheck, er, Whole Foods.

Oh goody, that is what I got today- I was hoping it was the right stuff! I was just thrown because it was shelved with the facial products and has the word toner on the front.

THANKS!!!
