ARGH! I've got a yeast infection. I never get yeast infections. I was so miserable last night that after the Well-in-Hand Herbals Yeast Rescue spray wasn't cutting it, I ended up using some Monistat cream.
Have I done irreparable damage? I'm taking some super potent probiotics too but they haven't kicked in yet.

The Monistat 7 day is what doctors usually recommend, so that should be ok.
That said, Monistat doesn't work on my yeast infections, and neither does Diflucan (when I'm not preg). I got rid of mine during the last two pregnancies by squirting diluted ACV (apple cider vinegar) down there at bathroom trips. I used a peri-bottle.

I got a call back from my midwife's office and they said I was fine, but that monistat wasn't as effective as another type. So I'm continuing with the GSE and the herbal spray and probiotics and if I'm still miserable tonight I'll use a little of the over the counter stuff they recommended.
I'm relieved that I didn't do any damage. I wasn't thinking clearly and was sooo miserable. :(
Will add some vinegar to bath water tonight and sit and soak a bit and see if that helps too. Thanks! :)

Totally understand! YIs are awful. I suffered with the Diflucan/Monistat-resistant one for a LONG time until I got preg with #1 and my midwife told me to do the ACV thing. That itching was awful!
