I know I'm early, but does anyone else like the sound of the rain...I know it'll warm up after SeaFair, seems like that is when summer officially starts around here.

I like the rain when it happens during the summer occassionally but I get sick of it when its non stop throughout the year. It seems like so far we haven't had much of a summer yet! Or, it started late and now its waning again..

Elsa is sitting here eating grass in the front yard. Earlier today I caught her hacking on blueberry leaves as I was picking berries. Then she managed to steal a bite of an ice cream bar when I wasn't looking this afternoon at a party. :eyesroll Sorry girlie tummy!

We're going to a wedding tomorrow and bringing the littlest one along. I hope it goes well! The big one will be with a babysitter that he loves for about 7 hours, which sounds like a very long time. I'm just going to tell her to take him for a walk in the stroller for bedtime this time, because he's really resisting bedtime and I don't think most 15-year-olds have the patience or understanding for it. Hopefully all goes well for them. At least he loooooooves her!

Off to make dinner----we need to use up half a head of cabbage, and I found a wacky-looking recipe that I'm eager to try. It involves cabbage, apples, potatoes, and philo dough (among other things). Should be good!

We're going to a wedding tomorrow also. The kids are going to be baby-sat by both sets of grandparents and the wedding is one block away. They will be able to find us if they need to! We're leaving the baby for the 2nd time ever in 5 months. :joy: How much milk do you leave for babies? I've got 2 ounces pumped, 3 ounces frozen. Since I'm only a block away, I'm not sure I'll pump more....but I probably should.

Dale's Mom is an artist and we asked her to bring a piece up to give to the happy couple, who are great admirers of her work, this is the first time we're ever paying her for her art...She sent us pictures and we picked this one a couple weeks ago. The pictures didn't do the piece justice and now I'm jealous and wish we were keeping it!!! We have so much of her art, but wow, this one is really nice. I hope they like it!

Ha! We're going to a wedding next Saturday. As of right now, we're taking dd with us, but I'm thinking of asking my sister to watch her. I think that would be more pleasant for everyone involved.

mamamilkers, I wish I could help, but I work on Sundays. I hope you can find someone.

If you're only one block away, I wouldn't bother pumping more. My kiddos never took more than a couple of ounces from a bottle without me at a time anyways, they always would rather wait for it to come straight from the tap!

Simplehome and anyone else -- are we still up for Tiger Mountain tomorrow? I'm game! I have one more day of my Birthing From Within workshop (which has been absolutely incredible) but I think that this hike will be great, even if I am a little tired. The physical activity will be very welcome after such intense mental and emotional work.

Here's the directions that simplehome was kind enough to share earlier.

Take I-90 east and get off at exit 20, High Point Way. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp, then another immediate right. Keep going past the first (open) gate, and all of the way to the parking lot (you can't go any farther).

From West Seattle it should take about 30 minutes, although I'm not sure what traffic will be like. Hope you'll come!

Oh, and I just checked the weather and supposed tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and in the upper 70s. I am usually skeptical about the weather reports, but hopefully this will hold true. :)

I'm still up for it! I'm glad you asked, though, because I had forgotten. :bag: We had such a bad night, and our morning has not been any better. The fresh air will either be good for the big one, or he'll melt down and want to be carried the entire way. But we're coming!

9:30AM, Tiger Mountain Trailhead, today! I'll try to wait until 10AM to get moving, just to catch stragglers.

Great! We'll see you then. I've got a dark blue Subaru outback. And two kids. One 4YO blonde girl and a 21MO who I'll have in a backpack frame carrier. Looking forward to it!

Is anyone else coming or it is just simplehome and myself? I'd definitely wait for others but I'd like to hit the trail sooner than later if it is just us. :)

We had such a great time, too! I would love to do it again sometime. It was great to meet you, Sara and Oesa!

I thought Silas would take a mega-nap when we were done, but it was a shorty one. So this afternoon he took a long trike ride to the store and he scootered around some, too. So he should really sleep well tonight. ;)

Looks like people had fun hiking today! Sorry we missed it. We're still entertaining the in-laws. We had a fun time at the neighbor's wedding over the weekend, but I forgot to bring a tissue. It was nice to get away from the baby for a few hours (but I really missed him). He hardly drank any of the milk I pumped and my Mom defrosted the one bottle before she came over without asking me.:angry She's obviously never breastfed or pumped milk for an event! It's my own fault, I left it in her freezer after the first time she watched him. From now on I will take my milk and keep track of it at my house if I ever manage to stockpile any!

So many weddings! I hope all had a great time.

mamamilkers-I hope you were able to find someone to cover for you and you enjoyed yourself.

I'm sorry I missed the call to hike. Hopefully we can catch up with y'all next time.

We are having some sleeping issues here, so our schedule is :irked:

Other than that, Lolo is swimming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:joy: She just started a couple days ago swimming under water for 5-8 feet. She's so much more comfortable in the water than just a couple of weeks ago. All that pool time is paying off. It's been tough I tell you. :wink

I enjoyed hiking yesterday, too! Reid told his dad at dinner, "We found some new friends today!"

My in-laws are coming in on Thursday, so I'm out for the rest of the week. They'll be gone most of next week, though, on a kayaking trip. Maybe we can hook up again sometime T-Th next week? I'm game for most anything, and need to make it into Seattle (U-District) to buy something for a spinning fibers swap I'm doing.

We're headed to the Crossroads Farmer's Market today, but in the car rather than on foot. I went running last night and my foot was SCREAMING. I really need to take it easy, but it's so hard to stop moving. Especially when I'm trying to lose baby weight. Sigh.

Ack. I forgot out babysitter needed tomorrow off instead of Thursday, so I'm out for the zoo on Thurs.

I think tomorrow DD and I are just going to take it easy. I miss her even though I'm really only WOH 6 hours, 4 days a week. It's the WAH part that gets me - I can hear her having fun with her dad, but I can't go and play too.

Maybe next week Sara - are you free Thurs, or did you mean Tues or Wed?

I'd like to see you again sometime Amy, so maybe I'll skip that next week if you're free. I'm up for anything, and like I said, need to come into Seattle anyway. Zoo next Thursday (the 14th)?

Just a heads-up for anyone on the eastside-----I'll be at the Redmond LLL meeting next Tuesday, if you want to join me. This time of year I love to pack a lunch and find a park somewhere afterwards for a picnic. I might consider driving north to Woodinville this week to go to the Hanna Andersson outlet, but I'm not sure about that.

OH MY GOSH! We went to Jetty Island (in Everett) today, and it was AMAZING!!!! The sandy beach is awesome, you can walk out a football field's length into the water and it's still shallow, and it's actually kind of warm. I'm definitely going back again before the island closes for fall, and this time I'll bring something to swim in. I so badly wanted to swim! And of course dd loved it all.

In fact, if anyone wants to meet up there sometime, I'm sure it'd be fun. If we get 12 or more people, we can reserve ferry tickets (that are free/donation), which I think would be helpful because it was very packed and a lot of people had to wait. But it's definitely worth it. Also, the #4 Everett bus goes all the way to the dock, for anyone that needs it. :)

We went to Jetty Island as well, and my son couldn't have cared less. It was way too hot for all of us and I didn't pack a parisol, just lunches and toys and stuff. I thought he would have so much fun, but it was so much work I doubt we'll go again for a while. I just have to wait until he enjoys staying still for more than 45 seconds. He didn't care for walking in the muck for 10 minutes to get to the water either.

I really wish he enjoyed it as much as I did as a kid. but I was older, so hopefully I can return in a couple of years.

I hope others get to enjoy Jetty Island, the wait was forever cause of all the other people who reserved and getting back was even worse cause they took all the first tickets. Aack. I hope you get at least 12 people to go with you. But make sure you make the res cause it would not be fun to be stuck over there with a two LO's like I was.

I'm already looking at some of Lily's toys thinking we'll have to put them away. I need to sit outside and clean and braid garlic, I must've harvested 50 cloves!

That was yesterday that you were there? What time did you go? Now I feel a little guilty, because we went with dd's preschool class and had a good chunk of the reservations for the 2nd and 3rd ferry of the day (as well as the 2p return ferry). I could see that being a big pain for everyone else. :( I was glad for that though, because the idea of getting stuck over there did make me nervous. I also noticed on the website that any resident of Everett can also reserve tickets, which I am not, but if you know anyone that is, maybe they could go with you next time? Well, whenever you do decide to go. Also, when we first got there, the tide was in-- and the water was so much closer. By noon it started moving way out. So I don't think it's always like that.

I sure loved that beach, though. And all the kids just had a total blast.

Sara, I'd love to go sometime! Do you think Cody would play in the shallow water? There's plenty of sand to play in though too. Some of the kids that I went with spent the whole time just doing that.

It's really hard! I think you have to do it sooner rather than later. I read on the internet to soak the stalks in towels to make them pliable, but to not get the bulbs wet...I'm still cleaning mine and if I can't braid them I'll just store them and eat them. :D I know the garlic they sell you in January is the same stuff they harvest now, you just need to keep it dry and cool. We have a crawl space/root/wine cellar where I've kept storage onions and shallots in the past and they make it to spring.

I'm going to try to make garlic powder for popcorn, pasta sauces, eggs, etc. I talked to my favorite farmer last year and he told me to slice it thin (I'm thinking the food processor can do that), put it in the dehydrator, and then grind it in the blender to the consistency I like.

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

We might be up for a zoo trip! Haven't been in a while. But does anyone have a pass we could piggy back on? I just can't swing the full cost these days.

We have been picking blueberries at the Bill Pace produce place (the historic Overlake farm) in Bellevue. We've been twice so far. There aren't tons, but it is still worth it. The farm is huge. And they are organic. I don't remember the cost per lb. but I didn't think they were very expensive when they rang us up. Sometimes parking is a little tough but overall we have had good experiences both times.

oooo, I might actually get to hang with the Seattle MDC'ers!!! Yes yes yes, let's do the zoo on Thursday! I will be hiking it up the hill, unless I totally wimp out (Phinney Ridge is QUITE a hike with a 2 yr old on your back OR with a stroller). I think probably meeting at the main (south end) gate would work the best since there is plenty of space to congregate.

How about 930-10ish next Thursday? I think it opens at 930. Why don't we actually meet just outside of the main gate - with my membership I can get 5 guests in for half price, and it sounded like some other people are members too. We're about to fall off the first page! Quick! BUMP!

What a day we had today----we went to the library, a "messy party" themed birthday party, the Crossroads water play area, read books all afternoon, watched Magic Schoolbus while Elsa and I napped on the couch, played in the hose and pulled weeds after dinner, then ended the day with a bath. Whew! I can't remember when we've packed so much in on a weekday!

We're still talking about what we're doing tomorrow. We normally get together with a group of friends on Thursdays, but right now Reid is saying he wants to go to the zoo. Little does he know that there's a HUGE group going, and that it was already on my mind! Sometimes I wonder if he can read my mind....so I might see you all tomorrow. She had a hard time falling asleep tonight thinking about the giraffes. We're looking forward to it! Oh, I wanted to look for a hat that sort of fits for the baby...it might be pink. Our stroller is red too.

I really do think they can read our minds. I remember nursing Lily to sleep when she nursed and thinking lullabies with her at the same time worked better than just nursing.

See you all tomorrow.:bouncy

I wanted to post quick b/c I'm kind of doubting now that we will be able to get there by 9:45 now...M is still up & K just went down - it's been a busy week & not sure if we will make it - I just know how we work & know it will take longer to wake up & get out the door & it's hard just to get K out the door anyways.

I'd appreciate it if anyone we've met before who is going would like to PM me their cell # I'll give you a call if we make it & can meet up with you guys.

I was really looking forward to this & seeing some of you again & meeting others but think I might have packed our week a bit too full, trying to cram it all in while it's still summer. :innocent We are also going camping this w/e & have oot visitors next week...not to mention I have a class tomorrow night that I haven't even opened the book for my homework...:o I would like to come & hang out though if only for a few hours...

It was fun meeting you all at the zoo today. Sorry we got separated after the snack. Lily had fun hanging out with the kids. In retrospect, I shouldn't have told her about it the zoo in advance as she was too excited last night before bed and woke up way too early in anticipation of the event.

After her nap we filled the inflatable pool out in the Lily Park and she played in the water while I soaked my feet to try and cool off. We ate all the popsicles in the house and will have to make a run tomorrow.

What's everyone doing to stay cool in the heat? We're hitting the wading pool at Northacres park today. Our house really heats up in the afternoon. I just want to live in the cool basement! I'm dreading tomorrow....

We went to the Children's museum and sat by the fountain, it was so amazing to sit there with the breeze and the mist. Sadly my son didn't want to get wet, otherwise I would have been drenched from head to toe.

We had a GREAT time at the zoo too! It was so nice to meet up with everyone.

How was the wading pool at Northacres? We have never been there. We've been to the one at Sand Point (is that what the name of the park is?) and Edmonds. We also ventured to the new spray pool at Crossroads the other day. It was crowded but fun. Not much water, but I guess it is more environmentally friendly that way. :)

Has anyone taken their LOs canoeing around here? Years ago we rented canoes near UW and went out but that was before kids. What are rules when it comes to ages? Do most places have life jackets for kids? DS is only 22 months so, maybe he really is too young. Just wondering! That was one of the things I wanted to do before the summer ends.

Also, has anyone done any summer beach-fire-pit-type things? Another thing I was thinking about.

OMama - we've taken our son kayaking (a little different than canoeing), and he had a blast. we launched from the Bothell Landing park (do you know it?) and since the river is pretty slow moving there it was really fun for everyone.

Hey, would anyone be interested in coming over here for a playdate? We're housebound since I'm not suppose to be driving for the next couple of weeks due to recovering from my c/s, and my son really, really needs outdoor run around time so I'd be happy to host something. I offer air conditiong and food! Just let me know. i live in Kenmore and my toddler doesn't nap so any time is good for us! PM me or just leave a message if you are interested.

I totall miss canoeing. I can't imagine my son sitting still for very long. And at the rate I row, I am sure it would be a lllooonnngg trip. I would love to kayak with my kids. That sounds like fun. Do you guys rent a kayak or own a couple? We bought one and shipped it over seas for a vacation, it was hilarious. You should have seen us in the sea, way too funny.

How do you do the kid in the kayak thing? Do you have them attached to you via baby carrier or something? My dude is 26 months and my DH is dying to go kayaking more often, but it's hard to secure childcare, etc. So bringing him would be interesting!

Yes, we are very familiar with Bothell Landing. We've lived in Bothell for a decade now -- it's hard to believe it has been that long! Years ago we rented canoes from the rental place nearby and would launch from Bothell Landing. I mentioned this to DH this morning and he said he'd want to try it too. I'm with Chessa in regards to how to get toddlers to sit. Anyone??? I think my 4YO would understand it, but these days Finn doesn't even want to sit in shopping carts. Ever. He actually can't stand independently or walk yet, but man, does he want to be up right and busy! :) Not sure how the canoe or kayak thing would work. Seriously I think he'd need to be tied down to it and I don't think he'd like that very much. :)

LOL! That's always my problem with heat!

We were in Central Oregon last week where the temp was near 100 every day. Fortunately my grandparents have A/C. But we were in a prime outdoor location and really couldn't do any fun outdoor stuff like hiking and boating because it was too hot! Though we did discover that the Bend Children's Museum is absolutely fabulous!

I'm glad it's cool. I have oodles of laundry to do and it's easier to use the dryer when I have so much rather than hang to dry.

Okay I have to tell you all about my new favourite place in the whole wide worrrrld. Or at least in Everett. ;)
There's a little coffee shop/cafe on Hewitt, a block away from the Everett Events Center/Comcast Arena, called Zippy's Java Lounge. It's exactly the kind of place I'd hope to own if I had my own coffee shop. They're very progressive-minded and have all kinds of events, magazines, signs, pamphlets, etc along those lines. They have an entire dedicated kids area with tonnnns of toys, or there's plenty of other cozy places to sit while you pet Zippy. Yep, the place is named after the owner's dog, who hangs out there all day. He's super friendly, although a little cautious of children, but Aurelia loves him. Their menu rocks. I was there again today and had raw vegan pizza! My step-mom had a salmon bagel sandwich and said it was delicious (if that's your thing). The coffee and smoothies are tasty.

I could go on... they have open mic night, tons of books and mags, the whole place is cozy and artistic, and I just love it. It actually makes me wish I lived in dt Everett. :p

Website: http://www.zippysjava.com/
Myspace, which seems to be the one that's updated: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=24378679
And a great letter to the Herald about the place, and the owner: http://www.heraldnet.com/article/20070825/OPINION02/108250006/-1/headlines

Definitely! I would love to. And yeah, I was planning on taking the bus out there, I have noooo desire to drive/park at the fair. There's a bus that goes from here to Everett Station, then I can catch the 270 or 275 out there. We've actually done that a few times to go into Snohomish and it was a pretty easy ride. Anyhoo, let me know. If it needs to be on a different day, that's just fine too.

As for the bus to Everett, you could feasibly take 270/271 from your 'hood to Everett Station and just walk to the museum, but it'd probably be a lot easier/faster to hop on an Everett Transit bus once you're there that'll go over near the museum. There should be quite a few that go over there. I *think* the CT transfer works on the Everett buses too, but you might want to double check that before you take my word for it. :p I get all that confused between different transit systems.

Yeah, I asked DP about the fair and he was less than thrilled about going. So we'll just go by ourselves, thank you very much!

LOL, Dan was the same way. I mentioned it to him several times, and he never showed a sliver of interest. Fine then. :p We'll just have to go while they're at work and have a good time without 'em, eh? ;)

You are right, Chessa, that it is pretty far from West Seattle. You'd have a "reverse commute" once you got through Seattle, but it would still be a long drive. It wouldn't be as bad however if you planned on just meeting at the museum instead of the coffee place. Being in Everett at 10 would be easier than being in Everett at 9. But it still would be far and there is always a chance there could be an accident or construction or some unknown and unforeseen cause of traffic congestion. You never know around here! :)

I now admit this and have come to accept it.) :) Or we could just meet up with others at the museum at 10 AM. Either way!

I'm happy to try to get there for coffee. We may be there at 8:45, we may be there at 9:30, it'll depend on traffic! Once I get through Redmond it should be a reverse commute up there, and I will allow extra time.

If anyone else who is going wants my cell# in case they get lost and want to meet later, pm me. I'll post a description of me and my kiddos and what we'll be wearing Wednesday night so it'll make it easier for us all to locate each other. :)

For Thursday, I may just meet you all at the museum at 10, and then see if anyone else wants to go to coffee/lunch afterwards. I just don't trust myself to get there by 9. :o Especially because I think Wednesday's gonna be a lonnnng day for me. :\

i'm not sure if we'll make it to the coffee shop first, or just meet you all at the museum. totally depends on tristan's waking time, which varies so much.

I am never able to make antyhing lately, especially in the am but we are going to the EVerett kids museum tomorrow (wednesday). I have a pass to get in a few extra people if anyone wants to go :D Though we wouldn't be there probably until about 11, maybe a little earlier.

I always seem to plan stuff with my kids the day before or after, and we can never usually make it anywhere in Seattle.

I didn't see a response from anyone to cody'smama's query as to a meet up time and place. I'm meeting bjorker at the front gates of the fairground today at about 12:45pm. :)

Okay, I'm so sorry to do this but we can't go to the museum on Thursday after all. The washing machine broke on Saturday and I was hoping and praying it would just be a quick, inexpensive fix but no, that was not the case. It would be over $500 to fix it (it was only three years old!) so now we have to get a new one. I've literally been sick to my stomach and crying for the past hour because we really can't afford this right now. Needless to say, there will be no trips to museums or coffee houses in our immediate future. I have got to save every penny. I'm so bummed! :(

Anyway, I sincerely hope to meet up with everyone at a later time. Especially for something free or really, really cheap.

:hug I know how that goes!! I have an Everett museum pass as I said in my above post and we are actually going tomorrow. I like to go about once a week if you ever want to get in free! I can take 3 guests :D

I notice you're in Bothell, I'm just on the Mill creek/everett border off 35th.

I have a question so I'm gonna PM you....(about the washer)

Thanks. Yes, we'd love to go the museum some other time. Tomorrow I have two therapy appointments for my son so we are definitely out.

And if you'd ever like to meet up at a park somewhere in between us, I'd be happy to. Sometimes we go to North Creek park -- I'm assuming that isn't too far from you. I'm always happy to go to new parks too. I'm sure there are others closer to you that I'm not aware of.

Ugh, mama, that sucks about the washer and unexpected expense! Many hugs :Hug to you and I'm sending you some positive money vibes :goodvibes:

We should meet up for a hike again soon! Something not too far from you so gas won't be an issue.

Sigh. I had absolutely every intention on coming tomorrow, but now I don't know if it's going to be a good idea. Aurelia has a cough, and it, uh, isn't sounding the best. I'm such a bad judge of when I should keep her home, esp when she seems to feel just fine, but I don't want to infect anyone either. I was really looking forward to going to the museum with you all, but I have a feeling that we shouldn't. :( Unless she happens to seem so much better by then. I am loading her up on vit c etc, but I'd be surprised if it was over that fast. Arrrgh.

I'm a mommy with long lightish brown hair and braces. I have two boys, 3 1/2 and 1. The older has light brown hair and dark brown eyes and is tall for his age. He'll be wearing lightening mcqueen sandals. The younger is blonde and blue eyed. If you are coming and want my cell #, pm me.

We were JUST at the EVerett museum today. It was a really nice day there and not crowded at all after lunch time! My kids wanted to stay like all day.

I hope eventually I get to meet some of you there, it seems I always check late and then we just had a busy day and can't make it.

Does anyone just want to come over and hang out in the Lily Park (aka our yard) sometime? We have one of those play structure things and a nice garden. We are in West Seattle on Pigeon Point. It's free and sort of child-proof. What would be a good day to just hang out? I'm so sleep deprived lately, I really shouldn't drive.

I'm sorry to have to bail on the museum too. Family unexpectedly arrived the other day and we're having some "issues" to deal with. So I really can't just leave. But, now that I think I figured out the bus situation, I would be happy to come into Everett and go to the museum. Just not this week! Have fun :thumb

Darcie, thanks for the invite, we would love to come hang out at Lily Park!! You have a beautiful oasis, I mean yard, & Kyle loved exploring it & I would love to sit & chat & maybe hold that sweet baby! I have been having a hard time lately with life...not sure how I will do this winter! :angry Not looking forward to that!

tomorrow & next week look pretty open for us...

The museum was fun even if we were the only ones who made it. I wish it wasn't so far. It was crowded, though. Will really loved the farm area! But it was drizzly so we didnt' get to check out the roof playground which looked really neat. We'll have to go back.

Whoever called on my cell to say they couldn't make it, thank you. And my apologies because I really couldn't hear what you were saying at all with all the noise there.

We'd be up for Lily Park sometime. :) Though I really dunno what our schedule will be like once Will starts preschool.

Okay my DH stinks. He took my phone this morning and I was searching around the house like a mad woman. And mind you he can't call me to tell me he took cause we only have cells. It messed up my whole day, we were late to 4 different things today and didn't even make it to the main event (museum-so sorry Noah). ugh, man I suck.

Darcie we too want to come hang out. I need to get it together

How about Thursday, September 4th, for a meet-up in the Lily Park, say 10:30 a.m. How about pot-luck lunch/snack? We could all bring a dish our kids like (we'll probably end up with 6 watermelons). It would be fun for the Mom's and good for the kids.

Dahlia, Lily has been wondering where Will has been ever since their first meeting!

Does this work? PM me for specific address and instructions. aka directions...

We'd love to come hang out in Lily park too-if its not too many people :)

Anyone have good weekend plans? We were going to do Bumbershoot tomorrow but with the cost of tickets we decided packing everyone up for one or two bands wasn't worth it this year.

Ansel is quickly outgrowing his 3T clothes so we may venture down to H&M at Southcenter. Hopefully it won't be nutty!

We're going to Bumbershoot tomorrow, although I was taken aback by the ticket prices as well. I haven't been in two years, and they were only $15 per day back then, I think. I figure that there are at least 4 big names that we want to see, though, so to pay $35 each is a steal for even ONE of them, PLUS we get to bring our kids! But yeah, it's not a cheap day....we're going to pack in all of our food.

On Monday DH is running the half-marathon and I'm running the 4 miler out at Redhook Brewery in Woodinville, then going down to my parents' house for the night. We have tons of family down there visiting, so we're just going to camp out in our tent. Luckily they just built an extension to their woodshed that we can put the tent under if it is truly raining....back to the run, though, I'll be pushing the double jogger. EEK! I've never run that far pushing the kids....it's TOTALLY flat, though, so I think I have a chance of running the whole thing. Wish me luck!

Speaking of outgrowing clothing, does anyone want to do another clothing swap? I'm happy to host, if there are enough people who would be willing to come to my house in Bellevue, just off of I-90 at Eastgate. What days of the week/times work for those who are interested? I'm thinking about the next few weeks....

It is possible that E and I could come, but R will be in preschool. DH's parental leave starts after today, so he'll be able to stay home an pick R up if need be. I'll talk to him about it.

Will's first day of school is the 4th, so we can't make it unless it'll be going a while (he has school until 12 and then we'd be coming from Issaquah). But we will have to get those two together sometime!

I'm sorry to be a flake but it looks like the 4th won't work for a playdate in the Lilypark. :( That is the only day we can take my folks out for lunch to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Would any days work the following week? I'm not available on Tuesday because the baby and I found a pilates class we can go to together. But the rest of that week is pretty open. Any suggestions?

We'd be up for coming to a swap too, other than on Tuesdays...
