I'm living in Thailand for the next couple of years and am having a little trouble finding the stuff I want for my first baby in Bangkok. Namely organic or bamboo cloth diapers, organic onesies, moses basket, sling, etc. I'm trying to take a faily minimalist approach but want the things that I buy to be high quality, sustainbly produced and healthy... All I have been able to find in Bangkok are the Mothercare sections of the department stores and for the most part they don't carry what I'm looking for. All of the companies that I am aware of that make these things are in the US and don't ship internationally. Any suggestions? As a last resort I will have family members ship to me, but first I'd like to see if there is any other way.
Thanks for any help!!

I had everything shipped to my mom and then brought it back with me when I visited or had her ship it to me.
You can have a sling made here, any kind you want. I can find a contact for you if you want. Moses basket.... hmmm. I have one somewhere. All of my babies hated it and you could have it. If I could find it LOL As for organic onesies, good luck on that one.
I hate shopping for baby stuff here.

Thanks for the sling suggestion... and do let me know if you stumble across that moses basket!
At this point my primary concern in the cloth diapers... I guess I'll have to have a relative ship them to me from the US.
I totally agree - not fun to shop for baby stuff here!! I don't particularly care for shopping anyway but I was excited about shopping for baby stuff.... unfortunately I'm finding it all more frustrating than fun. Ah well, at least it keeps that my inner consumer under control. :wink

I ordered a few things from 1cascade, they shipped to Thailand, they have some organic clothing and some birth supplies but I also don't yet have any slings or any diaper stuff whatsoever.

Also for herbs, I had a good experience ordering from http://www.mountainroseherbs.com.
They also shipped to Thailand and used regular airmail, no single Baht in taxes paid and it arrived after just about a week! :thumb
I have also ordered more herbs from www.inhishands.com, especially those I would need for the birth, for bleeding and stuff and this order doesn't seem to arrive at all, waited 2-3 weeks now :(
I'd much rather have a home alone solo UC with some Shepherd's Purse tincture and stuff for PPH, but I might have gotten unlucky.
MamaRabbit did you bring any herbs or other interesting stuff from the US (except books)? ;)

LOL
I have Angelica and Shepherds purse in tincture form.
I will give the shipment some more time to see if it arrives, if not, maybe I ask you again about buying some off your tincture from you.
UPDATE: www.inhishands.com order was also received now!
