Hi. I´ve been in South America with my husband and three year old for the last 5 months, mostly in Ecuador but also some in Bolivia. Our 6 months in Ecuador are coming up and we are looking to go to Peru. We have no time table, a bit of money and a lot of passion for life. There are SO many travelers, but so few traveling families. I´m looking to both make connections with other traveling families and/or hear stories from people who have traveled throughout S.A., especially with young ones. Any advice on where we should go? Any great, inspiring stories? We are looking for meaningful work, most of all, and it would be great to find a trade/exchange homestay or working with a good organization. We would like to work outdoors doing permaculture/agriculture/landscaping, volunteering with children, or any number of other things if it feels right. Any good links out there? We are also experienced and looking for places in the traditional healing realms. We are low budget. Any advice would be great, especially for Peru. Thanks!!!!!

Hello!

I came online just now to look for an answer to your very same question! We are in the US now but looking to travel in SA very soon and maybe stay a long while. My husband has family in Bolivia and we will likely spend time there, but Ecuador is calling to us as is Argentina and Peru. I'd love to hear what you have been up to, as our interests and goals are really in harmony with yours.

I will check back here and would love to keep up some dialogue, please PM me if you'd like too!

Saludos!
