Does anyone have a pattern or know where I can get one for crochet rugs made from plastic bags? I have a ton of bags and want to make a rug with them. I thought it would be a fun gift for my mum who is super environmental :rainbow and would apprieciate that fact they were recycled.:D

i'd be careful with these rugs... i've found them to be very slippery, especially on a wet floor. if you're looking for a place to recycle the bags, walmart has a recycling bin for them. our grocery stores are staring to collect them again, as well. you may want to check with yours.

Thank you all for the links and info about the rugs I now have an idea of how they are made and assembled.

Thanks jessikate for the warning. It never occured to me about them slipping but makes complete sense!!!. I have some of that non slip pading that you can put under rugs when you have them on hardwood floors. I was thinking about stitching some of that to the bottom to help prevent slipping.

Thanks again:D
