Dh just came in and told me about the Super swimmer's olympic diet of 4,000 calories per sitting.

Breakfast-3 or 4 egg sandwiches with lettuce, bacon, tomato and onion!YUM!AND a bowl of grits then a bunch of chocolate chip pancakes!!!!!(I'd take oatmeal instead of grits)

Lunch was a pound of pasta. YUMMERS!!!!!And 5 energy drinks, and I missed what dinner was.

As a pregnant woman nursing a toddler, and raising 3 older kids and running a home, I could SO go for this diet!!!!!!!:love

I'll call it the Olympic pregnant mamma diet.:love

YEAH!!!!Now, if only a nursing, and esp. tandem mama could have the TIME to eat all that!HERSELF!

I tandemed for 5 mo. of ds's pg and it is SO tricky getting enough good food!(I could not and that is why I weaned both...)We SO should have tandem/triandem mama doula's for dietary assistance!

I read that he's supposed to eat 8-10,000 calories a day...Some days I honestly feel like that's how many I eat!

I was just thinking about that the other day when I heard about it. Except take the mayonnaise off the egg sandwiches...

I've been craving breakfast foods, and hearing that didn't help. I asked DH if he would make the breakfast for me, and he looked at me like I was crazy. :o

OMG, I drool over a breakfast like that! (minus the coffee) I just love big breakfasts with pancakes and eggs and grits and biscuits and bacon and hash browns and french toast and I wouldn't mind having cream chipped beef which I haven't had in 20 years. This coming from a 16 year vegetarian!!! I was a breakfast freak before pregnancy and now it is just magnified! :eat:

No kidding! Wouldn't it be nice to be able to eat all that? Of course, he works his a** off (literally!) the rest of the day to burn it all... alas, I'm too lazy to be an Olympic swimmer... :D

Ohh, Ham and cheese sandwich sounds good.. Eggs have been turning my stomach lately for some odd reason so Ill pass on those. We had chocolate chip pancakes this week for breakfest and they were ok but not anything to write home about... French toast sounds good though, maybe Ill convince DH to make it for me tomorrow morning.
