It turns out that dh will be working more in "the heart of the city" than we originally thought. Say he is working in the center point of DC, where is the best place to try and find a nice neighborhood that isn't too terribly pricey? Is Virgina a better bet, or stay with Waldorf, MD?

I moved to DC in July. We bought a house on Capitol Hill b/c it is extremely easy for my husband to commute. We decided to live in the city as opposed to the 'burbs mainly b/c we prefer the city lifestyle and housing costs are just as, if not more, expensive out there than here in the city. We LOVE living here! Are you looking to rent or buy? How long will you be in the area? BTW, my husband is also in the military (Navy). We're here for at least three years. When are you guys coming?
