We're considering a move in the next year, and Charlotte is on our short list for various reasons. One compelling reason for me is that I see that there are 3 public montessori schools in Charlotte: Chantilly Montessori, Highland Mill Montessori, and Park Road Montessori.

Does anybody know anything about these schools or about these parts of the city? Ideally we would want to live near to the school, so this would determine our choice of neighborhood as well. Are these decent neighborhoods? Anyone know about difference between neighborhoods? Any info would be welcome. We are really committed to a Montessori education, but are not so thrilled about paying for private schools, so if this public option worked out it would be fantastic!
