I am looking for a new Primary in Springfield or Eugene that Aetna will cover. I have had bad experiences with Oregon Medical Group and Springfield Family Physicians.
We were very happy with SFP, until this past month. My fiance went in asking for a thyroid panel to be done, the doctor told him that his thyroid levels were checked last year at fine, so we would take his blood and do a full panel to recheck his liver enzymes, as they were high last year, and see what thyroid looked like at the same time. I was smart this time and asked that a copy of the blood workup be sent to us. We got a handwritten note in the mail that his liver enzymes were still high and he needed to have his blood taken again in 6 weeks to recheck. Nothing else was mentioned, she did not request to see him. A week later we got the actual results from the lab, which tell a very different story. His liver enzymes are barely too high, thyroid was not run at all, it shows that he may have kidney disease and diabetes. Kidney disease, thyroid problems, and diabetes all run in his family. We asked for a thyroid panel because of symptoms that could very easily mean either a nonfunctioning thyroid or diabetes, and which the doctor blew off at the appointment.
We've just called the lab to request his blood workup from last october. I wonder if everything was actually fine then as the doctor reported.
In the meantime his mother is going to take his blood results in to her endochronologist and have him look them over and maybe schedule him an appointment with him.
So I'm kind of mad.
If anyone has a good practice that they've been happy with, let me know.
