I am looking for a pediatrician that accepts delayed vaccination schedules. I have heard of Robert Minkus, but he doesn't accept my insurance, and neither does Homefirst. I have heard good things about Dr. Ettner at St. Francis in Evanston, so we might try him out. Any other recommendations? Thanks! :D

Have you checked the vaccine-friendly dr. database on Dr. Sears' website? There are a few suburban dr.'s listed there - the one we go to is Dr. Federici in Genoa, IL and we are very pleased with that practice :joy:.

I recommend checking the AP_Doctor_Referral Yahoo group. Also, I think you may have better luck by including family doctors in your search, not just peds. My experience is that family practice docs are more likely to be open minded about not doing everything by the AAP "book" and respecting parents' choices.

Some doctors I know of (but have not been to personally except one) are:
Elvove - Libertyville
Locke and Uchitelle - River Forest
Federici - Genoa
Epperly - Bloomingdale

I just PM'd you, but I highly recommend Dr Ettner.
