Hello all!

I wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the VBAC group, but I figured I should try the local angle first. I'm looking for a doula for the birth of my second child in March. There are so many around Seattle compared to the one in-hospital program in OH that it's a little overwhelming! I had a previous basically unnecessary C-section in OH and I am determined to avoid another. We had a doula-in-training last time. She was a great support and wonderful to have there, but she was not very helpful in coming up with any suggestions. I feel I would have done much better if I had someone who wasn't currently in labor trying to remember the ways to get a posterior baby to turn and what positions would help labor progress and me be more comfortable. Do you have a wonderful woman who helped you through labor? I need someone who will be actively supportive of my belief that VBAC is the *responsible* and *natural* choice, and not a risk or an "attempt." If they had experience with hypnobirthing in one form or another that would be an added bonus, as I intend to do one of those courses.

Thanks in advance! :love

ETA: I should probably say where I am :eyesroll
