Mods, I hope this is ok to put here. This is for a nonprofit where I volunteer.
Eat out on Thursday, September 18th
and you, your family, and your friends can make it possible for deserving kids to own new books.

And order that extra dessert...all for the sake of children's literacy!

Just wanted to bump this for the weekend crowd. :D

I've collected books for Page Ahead before, and have a coloured picture from one of the children they gave books to on my fridge. :) He also wrote about how much he loves Captain Underpants, which I happen to relate to. :p They're a pretty awesome org, as far as I can tell.
I'm not sure if I can make it out tonight, but if I can, I will definitely go participate. :)
The Lifelong AIDS Alliance does an event just like this every year that we go to, and I have to say it's one of the easiest, yummiest ways to donate a little dough. :eat:
