Today is 32 days after D & C. I believe I ovulated on the 31st or so of August. Today I had one wipe. Pink. Just like my early spotting with all three of my pregnancies. Nothing else. I can't believe I would be pg, because we only had sex once (although yes, it was around the 31st) but the train left the station before the passengers got out, if you kwim. (Not that that is any sort of fool-proof bc, but still. It's never failed us before.)

Anyway, this is just weird that I'd have one pink wipe. My period sometimes start off slow, but they definitely show up within a few hours of the first sign of AF. It has been about 8 hours since the one light pink wipe.

Is AF just weird after a d & c?

Are you bleeding now? I hope it is your period and you can start your next cycle. I know you are anxious to start TTC again. I`m in the same boat :hug

Yup, right in the middle of AF. And let me say that Tuesday and Wednesday were the absolute WORST two days I've had since my m/c. Worse than the crash after the D & C. The PMS hormones and the start of my period were just HORRIBLE.

BUT. The good news is, technically I guess I can ttc in less than two weeks. I'm not sure if I want to though. I gained excess weight while I was pg and then again during my depression this last month. I want to have a really healthy pregnancy and I wonder if maybe losing a little excess weight would be a good thing. Also, it will only be one cycle since my MC, and the doc actually said to wait 3. If I wait, I'm only waiting one more though.

Sorry for the terrible AF:hug I haven`t had mine yet (right around the corner though, I think) but from what I`ve heard it can take a while for those hormones to even out.

Do not feel pressured to start TTC if you are not ready. What does your DP think about it? Does he want to try right away?

We have decided to follow doctors order and wait out the two cycles. #1 is almost over. Waiting is killing me though..

DH is ready to try right away, but also very patient and willing to wait another cycle. I think I'm going to wait. Losing weight might sound like a superficial reason to wait, but I think in the long run it will make for a healthier pregnancy. It's not like I have to lose a large amount. I'd be happy to lose about 5 or 6 lbs total. Maybe 8? That gives me only 6 weeks anyway, which is not a long time and I don't want to do anything unhealthy. I think for my overall wellness, it would be better to wait and feel a little better physically and mentally. It will also help me get into an exercise routine BEFORE pregnancy.

Of course, that may all change in about 11 days when I'm ovulating!

It`s wonderful that your DH is so supportive. DH is the same way :joy:

If you feel like losing some weight will make you more fit and confident, then go for it. Personally, I really need to get into some sort of exercise routine. I don`t necessarily need to lose weight but am in a horrible shape overall.

Just got my first period too today. I`m happy that one month is over. Now another one to go..

Yesterday was the last day of my first AF after a D&C on August 22nd. AF arrived on CD 37 (D&C being CD1) and was a definitely a little lighter than usual.

The OB that did the D&C said to wait 2 months and my family doctor said to wait 3. I am waiting 2 (I say the OB trumps the family doctor :wink).

It's nice to hear others that are in the same boat and are excited to have their first cycle after a D&C behind them, looking forward to trying again.

Good luck.

I had a d&c on 9/20 (at 16 weeks). My midwife said to wait 1 cycle and then try if we want. I guess there is a huge variation in advice on when to start trying after m/c.

Well, we went for it after one cycle, so I'm in the 2ww now! I can test in about a week. Send sticky baby vibes!
