Ugh. Poor DS.

His second set of molars has been giving him grief for awhile. He kept pointing to the back of his mouth, on the bottom, and telling me it hurt. The teeth finally broke through, but he's still uncomfortable.

To make matters worse, two days ago he fell at the park and sliced his chin open. He had four stitches yesterday morning and I think he might have chipped a tooth. As we were fixing him up, his mouth was working and when I had him open it, I found two small pieces of what look like tooth (really small-- grain of sand small).

Anyway. Last night he didn't want to nurse because his mouth hurt, and this morning he started crying because his mouth hurt. We keep trying to pinpoint where the pain is, but he doesn't want us to look in his mouth.

All of this to ask: how worried should I be? Should I run to make an apt with a pediatric dentist? Should I wait on the dentist until the stitches are out, or are at least a few days older? Could this just be molar pain + chin pain? I'm honestly not sure this is all teeth related.

FTR he was still telling us his mouth hurt BEFORE he fell. And he's 2 yrs 4months old.
